Dr. Addison Montgomery drove her cherry red convertible to LA to meet up with some old medical school friends. They have established a practice called the Oceanside Wellness Group. Among the staff members are Dr. Sam Bennett played by Taye Diggs, an internal medicine specialist and a self help guru. Dr. Naomi Bennett played by Audra McDonald, his ex-wife (do you see more drama coming ?) a fertility expert. Dr. Peter Wilder played by Tim Daly, an alternative medicine doctor. Dr. Cooper Freedman played by Paul Adelstein, a pediatrician. Dr. Violet Turner played by Amy Brenneman, a psychiatrist. Last but not least ~ some eye candy for the ladies, William "Dell" Parker played by Chris Lowell, receptionist/ surfer dude, studying to be a midwife. We will also be introduced to Charlotte King played by Kadee Strickland, a chief of staff at a nearby hosptial called St. Ambrose, who by the way doesn't approve of the Oceanside Wellness Center's unorthodox methods of medicine.
We saw Addison exchanging a kiss on the elevator with Dr. Peter Wilder (Tim Daly) the alternative medicine doctor. Is there some chemistry there? Of course there is! With Addison's past of chosing the wrong man it can only continue to be an issue for her. She's trying to reinvent herself but looks like she is falling into the same trap. We can only hope that this Doctor is a good guy and not just another fling for her. Do you think he will be refered to as Mc Wilder? Will she fit in this new private practice? Hopefully she will find away to adapt . It seemed like she was the babysitter for the crew on Grey's Anatomy. Maybe now she will leave that behind for more adult surroundings.
One note about Kate Walsh, aka Dr. Addison Montgomery...she has found her real Mc Hubby. This September 1st, 2007 she married Alex Young, a 20th Century Fox Studio Executive.
Private Practice will premire on ABC, Wednesday, September 26th at 9pm/8 Central.

Do we really need another spin-off?
I enjoyed tonight's episode, but it threw me that they changed the actress for Addison's best friend. The new actress isn't as likeable, imho.
I've heard there are great expectations for this show, but I'm still not sure if I'm going to watch it. Great article.
Good review...I never even heard of this show before.
LOL Stephen she's a neonatal surgeon!
Does she do prostate exams. I could use one of those if she does them. No seriously, when I was working all the guys used to try and find a Doctor like her. But I'm McDreaming :-)
I love Grey's! I will be watching this one as well.
