Private Practice: A Look at What to Expect in 2008

nd
Are you a fan of Grey's Anatomy? If so, you must know that former Mrs. McDreamy left that series to join a cast of a whole new drama titled Private Practice (after all, the transition dragged out over several episodes of Grey's I luckily TiVo-ed and could fast-forward through). Yup, Addison is starting over in California. And it turns out that I am a fan of Private Practice after watching every episode of the show.

The next two weeks promise...repeats. Darn writers' strike (I blame the strike, although I am fairly certain that this is a regular season break). So what can we expect from Addison when she returns to us in the new year?

A rumor has surfaced that Kelly Bishop was cast to play Addison's mother. Not true, my friends. It wasn't true a month ago when Ausiello's Report confirmed that it wasn't true, and it is not true now. Sorry! I love Kelly Bishop just as much as you do. That would have been quiet a duo, huh?

What happens with Addison and Pete? Nothing for right now, rumor has it. What Private Practice is missing is the sex/relationship drama that Grey's has an abundance of. The presence of Officer Kevin Nelson brings the dramatic effect the show needs to make it a must-see TV drama. Addison and the officer will not last longer than a few episodes. He is a good way to get Addison away from the familiar. That's all.

How confused are you by the Naomi-Dell-Sam triangle? I am very confused. There are no rumors out there about Naomi and Dell. One thing is for sure - the fans are divided. Apparently you can either love this coupling or hate it. And what about Sam and Naomi? The spoiler alerts on the net indicate that the sex will last a little longer, but that the two will be swiftly reminded why they divorced in the first place. We'll just have to wait until the new year and find out what actually happens.

Violet and Cooper continue on with their friendship. There is not a hook up in sight for these two. Personally, I am glad that Cooper didn't go along with the friends-with-benefits idea since it is so incredibly obvious he is seriously, head-over-heels in love with Violet. However, Cooper will have a very difficult decision to make early next year, as his relationship with Charlotte starts getting more addictive/serious.

That's all for the first season spoilers of Private Practice. Check out my content page for spoiler alerts on other popular shows.
