Privet Opens in Le Passage Space

Never did I anticipate the closing of Le Passage, the infamous and long standing Gold Coast night club. Located at 937 North Rush Street, Le Passage has been at the same location for about 12 years.

My boyfriend's company had a party there in November of 2010, and the first thing that I noticed when walking in was the huge dance floor. The alleyway entrance was also interesting because after coming out of this type of entrance into a building, you don't expect to be taken into a luxurious, posh night club setting. I had been there before, but it was a long time ago.

On January 14, 2011, Privet, which guests will only be able to attend through invitation only, will open in the space that Le Passage occupied. On the Privet website, the club is described as "an exclusive, upscale nightclub." Their website also states: "Entry to Privet will rely on personal relationships and networks of its top notch staff and management."

I don't know if Privet will be open until 5 a.m. like Le Passage was, or if it will have the same mix of clientele, but we'll see what happens. If you want more information on the opening of Privet, call 312-255-0022, or check out the Privet website.
