Pro Football Preview 2007-08 Season: Super Bowl Champs

Bruce Bostwick
The match up is predicted to be the New England Patriots against the New Orleans Saints. It does look to be a bit of an advantage to New England considering the fact they've been to the Super Bowl and have won three championships to New Orleans zero and not ever making it at all. There will be many factors going into the season but it will come down to who really wants it more in the end. Here are the advantages of each team starting with the Patriots.

New England Patriots

This team was known as an underdog team considering they were a team that didn't get respect initially. What started this run and has continued is when Belichick decided to go with Tom Brady when Drew Bledsoe was out with injury. It was believed that Bledsoe would return once recovered but little did anyone realize that Brady would develop and he would be the Quarterback leading the Patriots to victories. In a move that considered crazy but turned out brilliant in the end, Brady remained the Quarterback and lead the team to the 1st of 3 Super Bowl Ring in 3 appearances. In an essence, when it comes to the playoffs, they have the experience edge and know what needs to be done to win the big games. Even if they are not a heavy favorite, they still manage to get the job done and win. For them to go into the Super Bowl and win it for the 4th time in 4 appearances with Tom Brady as the Quarterback, they will have to use that defense and offense to get the job done.

New Orleans Saints

The city of New Orleans would be celebrating this moment, as they would be entering their 1st ever big game. They would be in the same position New England was in going into the Super Bowl when they faced off with the Rams. Drew Brees would have to use his arm to really push this team further as he can give you quite a bit of yards. Another key will be the mentality of believing they can get the job done and they have that. So far this team looks to be an improvement from the miserable seasons that the Saints were known to have outside of a few actual winning seasons. For the Saints to win the Super Bowl, they're going to have to simply outplay them and outscore them no matter how low or high the score maybe.

At this very moment, the game would seriously favor the Patriots by a wide margin due to the experience factor. This is one of the biggest keys to the team but it will turn out to be good. It would be hard to bet against them but sometimes the underdog can just surprise you by a long mile.

Super Bowl Champions: New England Patriots

The game will be good and could perhaps become the 1st Super Bowl in history to have gone into Overtime. No game has ever done it before though it has come close. New England and New Orleans will put on a game that will be really close but in the end, New England will just take another championship going up to 4 all-time. That would just put within 1 of tying the record for most Super Bowls in the Super Bowl Era.
