"Is this gonna be a problem?"
"No," he said. "No problem."
"Really? I seriously doubted it would be okay."
"You know me. I'm cool. No sweat..."
She sighed. "I can still tell when you're lying to me."
"It's really fine."
"So I can just drop her off with you before we go?"
"That's fine."
"You'll take good care of her?"
"Didn't I always take good care of her?"
"Not always."
"I told you. That's over now. Won't happen again."
"Where will she sleep?"
"In the spare room. Maybe with me. Depends."
"On what?"
"On what she wants to do."
"Just the two of you at the house?"
"Yes."
"Okay."
"Where will you be sleeping?"
"What?"
"On your trip. Where will you be sleeping?"
"Don't. Let's not do this."
"I'm just curious, that's all. One room or two? Will you be staying in the honeymoon suite? Will you and your boss be bunking together, you know, to help the bottom line?"
"It's a business trip. You're still so paranoid."
"And I can still tell when you're lying to me."
"I'm seriously not doing this with you right now. I'll bring her by in the morning and pick her up on Monday."
"Will you be alone?"
"What?"
"When you pick her up, will you be alone?"
"I thought we'd just swing by on the way back from the airport."
"Well, that will be a problem."
"Grow up, seriously. He will stay in the car; I will come to the door and get her."
"Oh, no. Bring him with you. Maybe I'll invite him in for a few drinks, maybe share a few stories..."
"Stop, you're being ridiculous."
"Yeah, he should know just how perfect you really are."
"I don't know what the hell I was thinking, asking you to do this. You obviously haven't changed at all."
"No, I haven't. You're the one who changed."
