Then why are you hesitant? Why does it seem like a scam?
By all accounts turnkey sites are not a scam. You are, in most cases at least, really in charge of a great site with great products. You of course are paying for the site (either a one time fee, a monthly subscription fee, or a combination of the two) but that is to be expected.
What the problem with these sites is is the lack of customization. You may ask what I mean by that. This is the internet. You are not the only person who thought of owning a turnkey site. Let's imagine that only one hundred people bought the same package as you. That translates into one hundred people having the exact same website as you.
Now you may get lucky. You may be good enough at marketing, or have created such a great name that is searched by nearly everyone as to pull ahead from the pack. But most likely you will fall in the pit of monotony. This isn't a battle against other websites anymore. Now you have to prove yourself against other websites, THEN you have to get your site visited more than the others who have the exact same as you.
Isn't sounding quite as fun, is it?
But, can you really make money off your turnkey site? Listening to most real testimonies online, I have seen a very small, very select pack of people who have pulled ahead in profits with these type of sites. So to answer that question, yes it is possible to make a good amount of money with a turnkey site. But is even half as likely as the turnkey service would like you to believe? Not in the least. At least 90% or more fail making any decent amount of money, or any money at all.
So remember, before buying a turnkey site think of all the other people who have the same exact site, and how you can't use your own ingenuity to combat them. Rather it becomes a marketing battle.
