Proclaim Glossing Polish Frizz Eliminating Shiner: A Product Review

I recently purchased a bottle of Proclaim Professional Care Glossing Polish.

According to the bottle, the product is a frizz-eliminating shiner utilizing a blend of aloe and nourishing oils to both eliminate frizz and give hair high intensity shine.

Proclaim Professional Care Glossing Polish costs an average of $5.00 depending on where you purchase it, for a two ounce bottle. I found this to be a very good value because a little of the glossing polish goes a long way. The glossing polish contains aloe vera along with wheat germ, canola, sweet almond, safflower and castor oils. These oils can be expensive and purchased separately the cost would add up quickly.

Proclaim Professional Care Glossing Polish is packaged in a simple clear bottle with a screw on lid. The screw on lid has a flip top and small hole making it easy to measure drops of the polish for application. Just be careful not to squeeze the bottle too hard or you will end up with too much of the product. I did this accidentally the first time I used it and I ended up looking like a penguin caught in an oil slick.

My only complaint with the polish is that it is almost too concentrated. It took a lot of brushing for me to spread the product through my hair. I felt that it would have been easier to apply the product if it had been a little less concentrated or if the bottle had a built-in comb to help disperse the polish through my hair.

I quickly remedied the problem posed by the very concentrated glossing polish by adding it to my leave-in conditioner and anti-frizz cream. The results were great. The addition of the glossing polish helped soften my hair and gave it lots of extra shine.

On its own Proclaim Professional Care Glossing Polish was great for adding extra shine to my hair; however, it did not seem to do much to eliminate frizz at first. Once I had used the product for a while though it did seem to make my hair stronger, healthier and naturally less frizzy.

I also discovered another use for Proclaim Professional Care Glossing Polish. It worked very well as an intensive hair repair treatment. I warmed a few tablespoons of the glossing polish and worked it into my hair the same way that I use hot oil treatments. Then I wrapped my head in a towel and went to sleep.

In the morning I had to shampoo my hair several times to remove all of the polish but the results were spectacular. My hair was shiny, manageable and looked much healthier. If you choose to use the glossing polish in this way, I recommend you do it on a day when you will have time later to shampoo repeatedly to remove the product.

I will happily purchase this product again. I found it to deliver great results at an affordable price and plan to use Proclaim Professional Care Glossing Polish frequently.
