Procrastination is the death of me
each day when I wake from sleep
I can not focus much, you see.
I sit in front of a blank screen
or chat with my friends and relatives.
I'd be happy to stay in and not seen.
There is so much I could do each day
when I do not have to work or think
because it is not like I choose to play.
I grab a drink and a kitchen snack
and catch up on mail or news,
when I really need an awakening smack.
Procrastination does not get me far
when I should be doing things on the list
so I can at least complete one chore.
Alas, I need to get off of my lazy duff
and stretch my body up high and tall.
Then, I can finally, get to all my stuff!
It's too bad it's so darn tough!

Procrastinaire is French for "put off until tomorrow" what you could do today. Me too. Nice work.
We bought our middle daughter a sign to hang in her dorm that reads, "Danger: Deadlines are Closer than they Appear!" LOL cheers ;)

Funny. My mom has a can coozie that says, "If it wasn't for the last minute, I wouldn't get anything done." So true...haha
