The first single off of H.N.I.C. Part 2 is A, B, C's produced by Sid Roams. The song features a very distinctive beat and finds Prodigy being true to himself. The song might not have been the best choice of singles commercially; however Prodigy is clearly not seeking commercial limelight. The album also features a Spanglish version of the track which is just extremely interesting to listen to.
The second single is New Yitti also produced by Sid Roams. The song is vintage Prodigy. The song features a catchy and simplistic beat.
Mobb Deep partner Havoc produces and is featured on I Want Out. The track also features Un Pacino. It is definitely nice to hear both members of Mobb Deep on the same track. The song is solid and features a catchy beat and solid verses from all of the rappers.
3 Stacks features Big Twinz. The song might have the most commercial beat on the album, however the lyrics are not. The song is more classic Prodigy.
Alchemist produces Veterans Memorial Part 2. The song features a very solid sample which Alchemist easily flips into a hot song.
Sid Roams once again produces Click Clack featuring Big Twinz. The song is one of the best songs on the album. The lyrics, the beat and the feeling of the track all flow together effortlessly.
Apex produces When I See You. The track is different than Apex's last major record 50 Cent's I Get Money. However several of the same drum elements exist.
Real Power Is People is another solid track on the album. Overall the Sid Roams provided track, Prodigy talks about his life and even throws a jab at fellow Queens native Nas.
One thing you can say about Prodigy is that he remains incredibly true to himself. There are no attempts at commercial success. H.N.I.C. Part 2 is a very strong album and gets 8 out of 10. If you are a fan of Prodigy from Mobb Deep make sure you pick up H.N.I.C.Part 2 when it is available in stores on April 22nd.
