Product Review: Advil PM

Garnet Miller
Some nights I have trouble sleeping. It could be due to stress at work, financial issues, or something else. Sleep time is precious to me, so when I can't sleep for whatever reason, it's a big problem. I didn't want to use an over the counter sleep aid because they are too strong for me and require eight hours to devote to sleep. Six hours of sleep a night is usually my limit. But, I still needed to get some sleep. I remembered that I had received a sample of Advil PM at a women's show. So, I gave it a try on one of my more unforgiving sleepless nights.

Advil PM is new on the market. The formula is a pain relieving medicine that contains a gentle sleep aid. Most of my sleepless nights, I develop a headache which makes it even harder for me to fall asleep. Advil PM contains the same powerful ibuprofen (200 mg) for pain relief like the original Advil plus diphenhydramine (38mg) for sleeplessness. Two caplets are all that's needed for complete results.

I took the Advil PM and went to bed. I don't remember when I fell asleep. When I awoke, it was five o'clock in the morning. My headache had gone. My body felt as if I had been asleep for at least eight hours.

Five o'clock in the morning is my workout time. Before I went to bed, I didn't know if I would feel like getting up the next morning. Thanks to Advil PM, I exercised that morning with no problem. Advil PM didn't leave me feeling groggy or tired like some nighttime medication. I was alert and ready to start my day.

Read the Advil PM label to see if this product is right for you. The medication should not be used by children under twelve. If you are allergic to ibuprofen or are using another form of diphenhydramine, even topical, you should not take Advil PM. When your sleeplessness does not involve pain of any kind, try another medicine. Taking medication for symptoms that you don't have is unwise. Advil PM is for people who suffer from occasional sleeplessness with pain. For frequent sleepless nights, consult a physician.

Advil PM treated my headache and sleeplessness due to stress issues even on six to seven hours of sleep. The medicine does its job without lingering after effects the following morning. If stress sometimes interrupts your nightly rest, I'd recommend Advil PM. You'll thank me in the morning.
