Product Review: Airborne Formula

Keeps Cold and Flu Bugs on the Run

Garnet Miller
Airborne Formula is the ticket to fighting cold infections before they start. There's nothing worse than a cold. Runny noses and nonstop coughing make for a lousy day. A typical cold may take a week or two to shake off. If you still have to work on your job or take care of your household, the cold could continue to linger. I can't stand to be sick. Cold and flu bugs always seem to hit me harder than the rest of the family.

An opportune time for colds is during the change in the seasons. The change from summer to fall is particularly bad. My nephew caught the flu two weeks ago. I helped to nurse him back to health at my house. I sprayed down the furniture and washed sheets to keep down the chances of anyone else in the household getting sick.

A few days after he got well, I noticed tightness in my sinuses. Immediately, I pulled Airborne Formula from the cabinet. My husband had bought it to try, but I never put much stock in herbal preparations. I didn't actually have a cold, so any other medication would be overkill. I thought I'd give it a try.

Airborne Formula comes as round effervescent tablets much like Alka-Seltzer. They dissolve in about half a glass of cold water. It is recommended that one tablet be taken every three to four hours. Once the tablet has dissolved, you should drink it down all at once. Airborne Formula is safe for kids, too. Just half a tablet dissolved in half a glass of water is all they need. In a few hours, they too will feel better.

The taste of Airborne Formula leaves a lot to be desired. There is lemon-lime and zesty orange flavor. I've tried the orange flavor. It didn't taste like anything orange flavored that I had ever tasted. The taste reminded me of watered down orange juice and sand. Oh well, if you can hold your nose and gulp it down then maybe you can live with the taste. Hopefully the lemon-lime is better.

The Airborne Formula tablets come in a plastic tube. Each tube contains ten tablets. Slip the tube in your purse or pocket for convenience. Any time you need one, it will be right at hand. It's easier to carry than a cough syrup bottle and a spoon.

Did it work? In a word, yes. The herbal ingredients served to boost my immune system and kept the cold and flu bugs away. I felt the sinus pressure go away in a day or so. I kept taking Airborne Formula until every symptom I had had disappeared. If I stock my cabinet with Airborne Formula this winter, I will definitely save money on cold medicine.

Colds and flu are caused by viruses for which there is no cure. Medicines are used to treat the symptoms not the virus itself.
