I hate it when my lips are burned even when I am using an SPF lip balm. One of the SPF lip balms I have been using that actually do help protect my lips from the sun well is the Alba Botanica Sun Lipcare SPF 25. The lip balm goes on smoothly and coats my lips well without making them feel too tacky, sticky or greasy, which I am so happy about.
The Alba Botanica Sun Lipcare SPF 25 comes in a 0.15-ounce lip balm tube that scrolls the lip balm up and down easily. The lip balm has this sweet vanilla scent to it that I find pleasing. The natural nourishing and protecting ingredients in this lip are cocoa butter, candellia wax, soybean oil, vitamin E, sunflower oil, castor seed oil, aloe, evening primerose oil, shea butter, olive oil, herbal extracts, natural sunscreens and vanilla flavoring. There are not any harsh ingredients in this protective lip balm either which is also nice. There is nothing I like better then a safe earth friendly lip care product.
Now I usually apply the lip balm to my lips 30 minutes before I go out in the sun so the lip balm can really soak into my lips. Then right before I head out into the sun, I reapply it again for extra protection. The way I apply the lip balm is by scrolling the dial on the bottom of the tube so the lip balm comes up and than I rub the lip balm all over my lips in a nice thick even layer. The lip balm does go on clear and is highly moisturizing, nourishing and protecting to my lips. I even like to use this lip balm when I do not go out into the sun simply because it keeps my lips soft and smooth. I have also been noticing this lip balm also helps prevent cold sores and fever blisters as well that can sometimes be caused by the sun which also makes me very happy.
I do think the Alba Botanica Sun Lipcare SPF 25 is an affordable protective lip balm to get and I would recommend it to any adult, teenager, or young child to use to help protect their lips from the sun. I know I will not be without this lip balm since I have discovered it. I wish you all the very best with keeping your lips protected and nourished naturally.
