Product Review: Arbonne Aromassentials Awaken Sea Salt Scrub

Does Arbonne Aromassentials Awaken Sea Salt Scrub Hold Up to Its Promises?

Heather K. Adams
With so many exfoliation products from which to choose for your skin care regime, picking the right exfoliant for your skin type, while still getting the biggest bang for your buck, can be a daunting task. I recently received a tub of Arbonne Aromassentials Awaken Sea Salt Scrub as a birthday present, so I put the exfoliant to the test.

Would I buy Arbonne Aromassentials Awaken Sea Salt Scrub myself?

Arbonne Aromassentials Awaken Sea Salt Scrub: Natural Ingredients

When choosing a skin care product, I try to purchase those with natural ingredients, and Arbonne Aromassentials Awaken Sea Salt Scrub delivers.

Aromassentials Awaken Sea Salt Scrub contains sea salt, safflower seed oil, macadamia ternifolia seed oil, aleurites moluccana seed oil, avocado oil, sweet almond oil, tocopherol, tocopheryl acetate, isopropylparaben, isobutylparaben, butylparaben, essential oil blend composed of lemon and coriander oils, musk and rose oil.

Arbonne Aromassentials Awaken Sea Salt Scrub: Product Claims

Arbonne Aromassentials Awaken Sea Salt Scrub claims to be able to "awaken your body, mind and spirit and pamper your skin with the exfoliating action of this natural sea salt scrub. Enhanced with natural oils and vitamin E, it will go to work sloughing away dead surface cells, revealing brighter, softer skin."

I had serious doubts that an exfoliant could awaken my mind and my spirit. This is not an easy feat to accomplish. However, using Arbonne Aromassentials Awaken Sea Salt Scrub in my morning shower was invigorating. The citrus scent floods the olfactory system, and the sea salt was rejuvenating as it gently scrubbed away dead skin.

Arbonne Aromassentials Awaken Sea Salt Scrub also managed to pamper my skin as the natural oils left my skin feeling very soft and moisturized.

Arbonne Aromassentials Awaken Sea Salt Scrub: Packaging

Arbonne Aromassentials Awaken Sea Salt Scrub comes in a 16-ounce jar with a screw-top lid. Included in the jar with the exfoliant is a small spoon with which to stir the salts and oils together and dispense the product into your hand.

I found the spoon to be less than ideal as I often ended up wasting the Awaken Sea Salt Scrub down the drain as I attempted to scoop it into my hand and then rub it into my skin. Maybe I'm just not coordinated enough to use Arbonne's spoon. A squeeze bottle would be more convenient and practical.

Arbonne Aromassentials Awaken Sea Salt Scrub: Price

I'm a thrifty person, and I detest spending a lot of money on my skin care products. For a 16-ounce jar of the Awaken Sea Salt Scrub on Arbonne's website, the price is $28. However, I was able to find it on healthyskincareshoppe.com for $23.50 and amazon.com for $19.99.

Arbonne Aromassentials Awaken Sea Salt Scrub: Would I purchase it again?

Is Arbonne Aromassentials Awaken Sea Salt Scrub worth the price? Yes. Even though I mentioned I wasted some of the Awaken Sea Salt Scrub down the drain due to packaging issues, the 16-ounce jar lasts a long time.

Does Arbonne Aromassentials Awaken Sea Salt Scrub uphold product promises? Yes. The exfoliant truly does do what Arbonne claims it does.

Would I purchase Arbonne Aromassentials Awaken Sea Salt Scrub again? Yes.

Oh CJ, then this stuff would work great for you - no way your skin could end up dry after all those oils soak into your skin. It's really a great product, but I hated the packaging :(

Great review I have used sea salts scrubs before but they always make my skin so dry.

Nice review. Someone would probably have to give it to me as a gift, though. I can't imagine buying this on my own! :)
