Product Review: Avon Solutions Banishing Cream

Skin Discoloration Improver

Melissa B
Using and buying beauty products can be expensive and ultimately consume more money than you want because you end up buying one product after another because of their claims, and instead don't get the desired results. That is why when I find something that works or doesn't work, I like to get the word out! Today I am reviewing Avon Solutions Banishing Cream. This is a skin discoloration improver, promising to even skin tone, diminish acne scaring and reduce appearance in skin discolorations. So how does it hold up?

First let me say that I do not sell Avon, although I do love their products! I also love how they put reviews of their products right on their site. You can totally bash a product if you don't like it, or rave about one you love! This is very helpful because you want to know what people are saying before you just gullibly believe the hype on the container.

So Does Avon.com Say?

Well to date there are 155 reviews and the Avon banishing cream has a score of 3.5 out of 5 stars. These rating ebb and flow, but 99 reviewers out of the 155 would recommend this product to their friends. Not terrible I suppose. Many users say the are in love with the Avon Solutions Banishing Cream and that they often stock up when it goes on sale because they adore the product. While others say it has not met their expectations, and they would not purchase again. I highly encourage you to check out what others are saying, and you can read all the reviews right here on this Avon link.

So What Do I Think?

I have actually not tried the Avon Solutions Banishing Cream on my face. I am instead treating my dark knees with the banishing cream, hoping to be summer short ready soon! I will tell you that my knees are pretty dark, almost purplish in color, resemble bruises. I am medium/fair skinned, so it kind of sticks out like a sore thumb, at least to me. The reaction I get from many people is they think I fell and got a little bruised up, but that's not the case. Knowing this, i tend to hide from shorts and wear jeans and Capri "shorts" all summer long. BUT this year I am deciding to do something about it! I am using the Avon Solutions Banishing Cream!

Okay, so after that background information, let me say that one thing about this product that I love is it has kept my knees moisturized. There was nothing worse than the scaliness of my dry knees that already attract attention from being darker! I have also researched and found out a large reason for dark knees is dry skin, so this combats both areas.

The directions say to use the Avon Banishing Cream two (2) times daily. I have a problem forgetting to apply it a second time, so for me the results were not as good as they probably could have been. There was a noticeable difference in coloring, the bluish tone looks a more reddish pink tone after using for several days. This began a slow fade back to my original skin color, but I have not reached the desired results yet. I am thinking it takes more than one 2.5 oz jar to reach the results I am looking for, but with noticeable results and a relatively cheap ($2.99 to $6.99) depending on circular and promotions) I am going to keep letting it work it's magic.

The bottom line, if you are willing to wait for the results, then with continual application this product does deliver, but it's not a miracle cream that you can just slather on a few times and be done with. Keep up with it, and it will pay off! It's certainly cheaper than most other products and surgeries!
