Product Review: Baby Connection Vibrating and Musical Bouncer

There were so many things that I got for my baby to have and this is one item that I am still using for my baby almost 10 months later.

Before I had my baby I looked over the list of things that I wanted to make sure to have before he was born and decided that he was going to need a seat. I figured that a bouncer would be a good investment for something that I could use for a couple months. The Baby Connection Vibrating and Musical Bouncer was the one that I chose.

I first used the bouncer when my baby was about two weeks old. I reclined it so it was in a flat position and laid him in it if I needed to set him down to do something. I could conveniently move it throughout the house and keep it in the kitchen if I had to cook or wash the dishes or keep it in the bedroom if I needed to put away laundry and more importantly keep an eye on my baby where ever I had to be. It was lightweight, unlike his swing, so it traveled with us if we were leaving the home. With the slightest movement it gently bounced my son and he very often feel asleep and stayed asleep. I could strap him in and know that he wasn't going to roll off while he sleeping. I found that during dinner time I could eat and keep the bouncer near the table and gently step on the bottom of it keeping my baby entertained. The music that it plays is not unpleasant like some baby toys but during a move I dismantled the bouncer and when I put it back together I forgot to install the music aspect and from what I can tell my son doesn't mind.

As soon as my son became more aware of objects I used the attachable arch so he could begin playing with the toys that came with the bouncer. My baby got older I changed the position of the seat so he could sit up in it, I was so happy that as my baby's size was increasing he was still able to use the bouncer. This helped with his back muscles and he was developing many mental motor skills as he played with the toys. Since my baby was getting to the point where he liked to play and roll around on the floor I used the chair less but I still found it to be useful when he was in a sitting mood.

The bouncer was easy to assemble and the pad for the seat is easily washed. This came in handy when I set my naked baby down on it as I prepared him a bath, apparently I should have kept his diaper on. The poop came out in the wash and I was so happy that it did not stain the pad. The bouncer still looks and works like it is brand new.

Even though I gave my son a walker and a jumper I didn't get rid of the bouncer, as it was still able to hold him. Now that my son crawls and walks, while in his walker, he isn't as interested in sitting in the bouncer. I am still thankful that I have it though, every morning I can take a 15-20 minute shower and be able to watch my son. He doesn't mind sitting in his bouncer playing with his toys for that duration of time at all. Plus I think he knows that being in the bathroom means that he is going to get a bath.

If you are looking for this item you can find an exact model that the manufacture, Kids II, makes under the name Bright Starts Musical Melodies Bouncer, it just has a different pattern. It runs for about twenty dollars as did the one that I have.

Baby Connection Vibrating and Musical Bouncer is one of the items that after almost 10 months I am still finding a good use for and that is more than what I can say for my baby's swing, first car seat and sling.

A bouncy seat is a must-have piece of baby equipment, in my book. I didn't use a crib, swing or a lot of other modern gadgets. But, I did get my money's worth out of my bouncer!
