She has religiously watched this animated cartoon since those 11 months ago. Now that she is older, she actually smiles, laughs and sings along with them. At times I find her trying to do what they are doing, whether it is turning in circles, jumping and down, etc.
She loves playing outside regularly and I hope that as she gets older this will help her creative thinking where she can easily busy herself with just her imagination outside, instead of needing visuals or toys to play with.
The show consists of 5 school age characters; Tasha, Uniqua, Tyrone, Austin and Pablo. Very colorful animated characters that make me wonder every time I see them, how the genius that created them ever come up with the idea...
'Polka Palace' consists of a tuba playing Tyrone goes on a journey and ends up out west at the Cheyenne Polka Palace. Clarinet playing Uniqua, drum playing Austin and accordion playing Pablo all join his throughout his journey. They all love to play polka so decide to form a band
Between the catchy 'Yip Yip Yip' song and the creative learning, my daughter just absolutely loves them! I do too, being that I've seen almost every single one of them. I think they do great in teaching children about using their imaginations.
My child is very creative on her own but I think these would be a help to any child. This century consists of too much television as it is, but being a learning program and being able to enjoy like she does, I think is okay. She's too young to play video games so I have not to worry there.
I highly recommend these little characters to any parent that wants their child watching something 'good' for them. I plan to purchase every single movie they have made for my daughter because I know they will get good use. She has some of their toys and books and loves them just as much. I hope she continues to like them and I hope the next show she gets hooked on is just as creative, if not more so!
