Baked Tostitos Scoops are a healthy and tasty replacement for fried tortilla chips. They're low fat and have far fewer calories than regular fried chips. They're also a healthy source of complex carbohydrates from the whole corn and corn and contain a wide variety of vitamins and minerals.

Baked Tostitos Scoops are available in a large 10 ounce bag. A serving size is 1 ounce (28 grams) or approximately 15 chips. Each serving has 120 calories, 3 grams of fat, 0 grams of trans fat, 0 mg of cholesterol, 150 mg of Sodium (6% of RDA), 22 grams of carbohydrates, 2 grams of dietary fiber, 0 grams of sugar, and 2 grams of protein. Baked Scoops also have 2% of the RDA of Calcium, 2% of Vitamin E, 2% of Vitamin B6, 2% of Iron, 2% of Zinc, 4% of Thiamin, 6% of Magnesium, and 6% of Phosphorus. Baked Scoops pack in a whole lot of nutrition for a single snack serving.

Baked Tostitos Scoops taste great, have a crispy crunch, and keep their scoop shape well. Most of the scoops in my bag were whole, although there were some crumbles in the bottom of the bag. They also stayed fresh tasting and didn't lose their crispiness for at least a week after I opened them. They're perfect for serving with dips, salsas and other appetizer sauces because of their bowl-like shape.

You could also get a little creative with them and create some unique fillings as appetizers and snacks. Place cooked shrimp or crab in the scoops, top with a dollop of salsa and light sour cream. You could make mini tacos by filling them with cooked, seasoned ground beef and hot sauce, or refried beans, lowfat grated cheddar and chopped green onions. You could also just fill them with grated lowfat cheese, heat until the cheese is melted and top with some chopped tomatoes or tomatillo sauce. They also make interesting croutons in taco salads or any kind of salad. Float them in your Mexican style soups or stews for an interesting crunch and texture contrast.

Baked Tostitos Scoops are great tasting, a good value, and consistent in quality and flavor. They're a healthy alternative to fried tortilla chips and other oily types of snacks. Now that football season is here, healthy snacks are a necessity if we don't want to pack on the pounds.
