Product Review of Bar Keepers Friend

If Clean is What You're Looking For, This is the Product to Get

Lee Hansen
Cleaning around the house is just one of those necessary things that have to be done on a regular basis. While you won't see me jumping up and down cheering about it, I accept it and resolve to get the job done.

Bar Keepers Friend is a cleanser and polish. It was purchased for less than $2.00 at a local grocery store. The net weight is listed as 12 ounces or 340 grams.

The product boldly stands out in a rich golden color on a circular container. The product name is printed in large white letters with an overlapping blue background. The words "Removes Rust" sits on a splash of red coloring with yellow lettering.

The directions are written in both English and Spanish. They are simply worded and understood. This product is good for bathroom and kitchen appliances such as sinks, toilets, countertops, fiberglass, tile and faucets.

The product comes in a white powder that had a delicate fragrance. It was not overpowering to the sense of smell. Be sure to read directions thoroughly for best results and to prevent any damage to whatever surface you may wish to apply it to.

After pouring some in the shower with the addition of a little water the dingy and rust stains were completely removed. It was gleaming. It was additionally used on the fiberglass door which was no competition for Bar Keepers Friend. It destroyed remnants of grime along with soap scum. It provided a wonderful shine to our stainless steel faucets.

A special note at the bottom lists some surfaces and precautions to take on certain items. Of course this product should be kept away from children. If you should happen to get some in your eyes, flush with water. If more attention is needed, contact your doctor immediately. It is not to be swallowed. Drinking milk is a remedy if it should be swallowed accidentally. Again contact your doctor if necessary.

This product is manufactured by Servaas Laboratories in Indianapolis, IN. Questions and comments can be directed to 1-800-433-5818. Their website is www.barkeepersfriend.com.

It is without hesitation that I would wholeheartedly recommend the Bar Keepers Friend cleanser and polish for your cleaning venture.
