Product Review - Best of the Best Cheap 32" LCD TV's

I love TV and I have a 52" big screen that I love to watch all of my movies on and play my video games on. I however needed a much smaller TV for my bedroom that would not only work well as a TV but would double as a computer monitor as well. I started to look around and found some great deals on TV's but wanted to share with others the findings of what was good and what was wrong with these TV's and how to avoid or fix the problems.

The first TV that I looked at was the Visco 32" widescreen TV, its one hell of a price for a 32" ($498) widescreen LCD flat panel TV. So I first went to the store to see what kind of picture it had, I have to say I was very impressed, nice color, vivid display, and it wasn't pixilated at all. I checked with the store and they were running video to it through component video cables, and they even let me bring in my laptop and hookup to it through the VGA port (god bless Wal-Mart). I was very impressed with the TV as a computer monitor it was very good quality and again a nice sharp crisp display.

The next step was the find all of the issues people have had with this TV. The most common problem with the TV is the remote not working and finding a universal to work with it is quite difficult. Other users experienced choppy picture, lines across the screen, and some even said their TV broke after 3 months. That is why if you do decide to buy this TV get the 2 or 3 year extended warranty with it, its about $50 bucks extra and will ensure if your TV is a lemon it will be replaced.

The next TV was the iLo 32"widescreen LCD TV and it was only $498 and offered plenty of video connections to choose from. The one connection I was disappointed not to see was a DVI or VGA input, but I have S-video on my laptop so I could still use this TV as a monitor for my laptop but it's a sacrifice to have to use S-Video for this. Other than that the TV comes with component, HDMI, composite, and as I said S-video inputs so you can have up to three devices hooked up at once if you have the right cables. I like that his TV has a built-in digital (ATSC) tuner which eliminates the need for a separate set-top box to decode high def broadcasts.

This brand had some bad press on the forums, a lot of users have had issues with the remote breaking and there is no way to replace it and you can't buy the brand. However there is a solution to this and that is to buy a universal remote and use the product code for the Emerson TV's and it worked for most users. Some people also complain about the TV not lasting more than a year or two so the simple solution it to add the protection plan which at Wal-Mart is only $48 for a two year deal. That way if your TV does die it will be replaced for free.

The last 32" TV that I checked out was the Vizio 32" widescreen that costs slightly more than the rest but is still a good deal at $597. This TV offers the most video input ports and I was happy to see 2 HDMI ports, 2 Component video ports, a VGA port, and composite video port, it did however lack the S-Video port but with 2 HDMI and 2 component ports you can't complain. Great picture quality with deep rich colors made the display the best of the bunch. I loved how it looked with the shiny black finish and thought that all of these qualities made it worth the extra $100.

I looked around and didn't find to many complaints about this TV most have good things to say about it. I really liked the way this TV looked and loved the picture quality and with the number of video ports its well worth the extra $100 dollars. I also still suggest you buy a protection plan for any TV you buy I hate spending the extra money too but incase something does happen you are protected, and at Wal-Mart the protection is only $58 bucks!
