Upon finding a coupon for a $1 off of 2 Betty Crocker Warm Delights in our local Sunday newspaper, I thought it was about time I tried the well-advertised treats. Only problem was my husband doesn't care for chocolate anything, and most of the Warm Delights I'd seen advertised were chocolate-something-or-other.
But all was not lost! I found there was another flavor--Lemon Swirl Cake--that would appeal to my husband's love of all-things-lemon.

Betty Crocker Warm Delights are extremely easy to make, and as advertised, they only require water and a microwave. They are, of course, high in calories--but aren't treats supposed to be?! Ok, maybe not...but as an "every once in a while" treat, Warm Delights are wonderful!

The picture on the package is perfectly melted, perfectly decadent, and looks yummy yummy! When you cook the actual product, it may not look exactly like the picture, but the taste is first rate, and just as delicious as the picture looks!
Most of the difference between the picture and your own creation comes from the icing, or in this case, what the package refers to as "lemon curd topping," because you are allowed to swirl it however your little heart desires, so it may not always be 8 perfect lines.
I very much enjoyed swirling all the gooey lemon all over the un-coocked cake, popping it into the microwave, and then testing it on my hubby.

He loved it! After tasting the Warm Delights Lemon Swirl Cake myself, I can say I was amazingly surprised--it was extremely soft, extremely gooey, and EXTREMELY lemony! The tartness from the lemon curd (which contains real lemon juice concentrate), adds a great lemon flavor.

This treat was definitely worth the money, and on a scale of 1-10, I'd give a sure 10 for flavor as well as being exactly what is advertised.
If you're into real lemon flavor, and soft, gooey cake--the Betty Crocker Warm Delights Lemon Swirl Cake is for you!

I admire anyone who manages their time so that there is time to bake! Sounds good.
