Bissell Momentum Review
If your former vacuum cleaner is performing moderately well, or worse, prepare to be embarrassed the first time you run the Bissell Momentum. When you pride yourself on clean floors and learn just how much dirt, dust, or carpet freshener has taken residence in the carpet.
The bagless Bissell Momentum collects the debris in a large, clear, salmon-tinted container that is both easy to remove and clean. After the first run with the Bissell Momentum, the nearly full dust-catcher didn't support the fact that the floor had been vacuumed only two days prior. Albeit the vacuum cleaner the Bissell Momentum replaced should have been retired months ago.
Not only is the Bissell Momentum powerful, the vacuum cleaner offers several features that save time and provide convenience. Of particular note is the 35-foot power cord which is not frequently found on vacuum cleaners.
The 15-inch dual-edge cleaning base and heavy-duty brush makes for truly efficient vacuuming. Dirt and dust is readily suctioned with fewer motions and Surround Suction® technology allows the Bissell Momentum to clean well around baseboards.
No filter cleaning is necessary as the Bissell Momentum utilizes a Hepa Media filter that is designed to be replaced as needed, for about $12. An air flow indicator located on the front of the vacuum shows that the vacuum is working at maximum potential.
For those who use attachments, the Bissell Momentum comes with an exceptionally useful one, a rotating TurboBrush® that works well on both stairs and upholstery.
A crevice cleaner, dust brush and a 15-inch extension tool are also included.
The 12-foot stretch hose on the Bissell Momentum is wider than most vacuums possess and durable, making it harder to clog or crack.
Seven height settings are available on the Bissell Momentum, which some may find overkill while others prefer the precision.
Bissell Momentum Drawbacks
Few cons exist to the Bissell Momentum but a couple of features could be improved upon.
Attachment Hose: The attachment hose extends adequately when pulling it vertically or above the vacuum, but if pulled horizontally the vacuum tips over rather easily. So the advertised 12-foot stretch hose is somewhat misleading.
Weight: The Bissell Momentum feels lightweight while vacuuming yet this model is moderately heavy at roughly 20 pounds. This is lightweight for its power class but individuals who want a truly portable vacuum may find this a bit heavy.
Bissell Momentum Specifications:
12 amps and bagless technology
Rotating DirtLifter brush system
Cyclonic cleaning technology keeps filters clean longer and provides more suction
15" wide cleaning path with clear foot window
HEPA media filter
Easy Empty dirt container
12' flexible stretch hose
Powered rotating TurboBrush attachment
35' power cord
Dual edge cleaning with surround suction for hard to reach places

Post a CommentThe absolute biggest piece of junk on the market. The light went out the 2nd time I used it, it sounds like a truck, it jams up all the time, he's heavy, bulky, the cord is horrible, it's almost started on fire twice. I hate it, hate, hate it.
i have to agree with jo. Ours is approximately three months old and sounds like a lawn mower now. If you get this vacuum, buy a pair of earplugs to go with it. It still has good sucking power, just extremely loud
This is the worse vacuum I have ever used it started sounding like a lawn mower after just 3 months. It clogged way too much for me. and it is heavy try loading it up the stairs. This is not even worth the money.
Very disappointed in this vac. It vacuums good but it falls over constantly! It is back heavy. I would not recommend this vacuum unless you don't mind being very frustrated every time you clean. The large dirt cup is very good however.
Bought this last nite in KMART. After reading the reviews--should I say I can't wait to use it-lol??? I have 3 sheddy corgi's. Let's see...
Thanks for your reviews.
I just bought this vacuum. LOVE it. As the review accurately states, you won't believe how much dirt/hair/etc was still in your carpets even though you thought they were clean. Buying this just showed me with no room to argue how poorly my other vac was performing. People can have their $500 dyson... I'll keep my $89 Bissell.
Sounds like a great vacuum. When we need a new one, I'll keep this one in mind. Thanks so much. :-)
If I were in the market, I would buy it. :)
Excellent review. I always wanted a bagless, but we're waiting for our current one to break down first.
Detailed review. I could use a new vacuum to keep on the top floor of my house!
