Product Review: The Bissell Pet Hair Eraser Vacuum

Sunshine Wilson
When my old vacuum cleaner finally broke down, I researched several vacuum cleaners online and in local stores. Because I have dogs that shed a lot, I also talked to several friends who are also pet owners about their vacuum cleaners. I decided that I wanted my next vacuum to be one made especially for pet hair. I finally decided to buy the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser Vacuum, which costs several hundred dollars less than other pet hair vacuums, such as the Dyson Animal Vacuum.

The Bissell Pet Hair Eraser Vacuum is an upright vacuum cleaner with a 12 amp motor and as the name implies, it is specifically made to vacuum up pet hair. This vacuum can be used on bare floors or carpeting, having seven height settings. It also comes with several tools including a pet turbobrush for small areas and a pet contour tool for hard to reach areas. The vacuum also comes with a one year limited warranty.

The Bissell Pet Hair Eraser Vacuum was easy, but time consuming, to assemble. But it was worth it. After having used this vacuum for about a month, I know it is the best vacuum cleaner that I have ever owned. The vacuum's suction is very powerful and it really does a great job of picking up all the dog hair that my dogs leave around the house. My floors and sofas have never looked better. I see now that my old vacuum really was not doing a very good job and it probably was a good thing that it broke down. My house is much cleaner since I have been using the new Bissell Pet Hair Eraser Vacuum.

This is the first vacuum I have ever owned that is bagless. This is not only more convenient for me than hunting down the correct size of vacuum bags, but is more cost efficient. It is however, a somewhat messy job to empty the vacuum when full. I have learned that the best thing to do is to empty it outside because it is such a dusty job.

I am very happy with this vacuum's performance so far. I have had no problems with the vacuum and my dogs and I would highly recommend it to other pet owners. Hopefully the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser Vacuum will be vacuuming up pet hair in my house for a long time to come.

I have this vacuum too. I really liked it for about the first six months & now it has started leaving disgusting lines of pet hair on my carpet when I vacuum. I have to vacuum the hair with the attachment while I vacuum the floor. Grrrr....
