First, I want to discuss one major reservation that had in purchasing a bagless vacuum. I had heard through radio or some other media network that I can't place right now, that bagless vacuums put out extra pollutants into the air that the bag vacuums of old would not put out. I found out that I was not the only person who has heard this about the bagless vacuums by listening and speaking with other consumers who were looking for a new vacuum. I still don't know for sure if this is the case, but I can say that most bagless vacuums come with a HEPA filter that will catch pollutants before they go into the air. I can also say that since the purchase of my Bissell Powerforce I have not noticed any difference that would lead me to believe this is true.
With that out of the way I would like to tell you that I have been quite impressed with the Bissell Powerforce bagless vacuum. It is easy to use, easy to clean, and despite having to empty the dirt container fairly often it is easy to empty. Now on to the features:
Bissell Powerforce bagless vacuum features:
Easy empty dirt container: This truly is easy to empty. There is a lever at the base of the dirt container and to remove it you simply slide the lever from one side of the vacuum to the other. Then you pull out the container, empty it in the trash and replace it the same way you removed it. Quick and simple just the way I like it.
Washable Filters: This is one of the features that not all bagless vacuums had. I thought it was great because you won't need to buy allot of filters. When one gets dirty just wash it out.
12 Amps of Power: Most bagless vacuums in the price range offered this feature. I love the power of this vacuum and I don't think I would ever need more.
Rubber Bumper: The edges of the Bissell Powerforce have a rubber bumper to keep walls and furniture from being damaged. This feature really works well, I thought at first that it would fall off or something but it is staying on well so far.
Turbo Brush: The Bissell Powerforce has what they call a turbo brush, other bagless vacuums had this feature as well but I really like it. The Turbo Brush is a small attachment that fits onto the hose and works like a mini-vacuum with working brushes and all.
Five Height Adjustments: There are five different brush heights that can be set for bare floor and low carpet all the way to high carpet. Most vacuums offered this but again it is a very useful feature.
Combination Upholstery and Dusting Brush: This is a combination attachment used for cleaning upholstery on one side and dusting on the other.
So there you are. If you are planning to purchase a new vacuum don't overlook the Bissell Powerforce. It is reasonably priced, easy to use, durable, and offers all the features one could want in an upright bagless vacuum cleaner.

Post a CommentI'm new to bagless vacuuming and honestly I am more than ready to return to using a vaccuum with a bag.
What a mess this thing is.
It clogs up regularly and then I end up covered in dirt trying to unclog the many filters.
The space above the dirt cup always gets clogged with globs of carpet fiber and dirt and they never fall down into the cup. So, nearly every 2nd or 3rd time I vacuum I have to reach up there and dislodge the globs.
Bissell can have this mess.
I'm going back to the good old fashioned way where you removed the nice clean full bag and put in the empty one.
It took about a minute and didn't make a mess!
i have a 6596. can not find belt
You should have said something about the fact that you love it so much you vaccuum ALL THE TIME! Wives everywhere will go out and buy one if their husbands love it as much as you do! :)
