Product Review - Black & Decker Cordless Power Scrubber PKS150

Genie Walker
I primarily use this scrubber to clean my pots and pans; secondary to clean my sink and stove. It saves me time, energy and keeps me from adding to my pain levels (I have arthritis in my hands and am unable to scrub at any length or with great strength). The Power Scrubber gets food that is stuck on or has been baked on off in minutes. What used to take up to several hours of alternating between soaking with hot water and scrubbing with a scouring pad just takes a couple of minutes now. I love it. When I'm finish scrubbing my pots and pans, I scrub the kitchen sink and stove with it. The Black & Decker cordless power scrubber is well designed; I haven't found a spot that is hard to reach. It's great. According to the packaging it also cleans glassware and plates. I haven't used it for that since I have a dishwasher.

It has an easy handle to grip and it is lightweight. There is a rubber grip molded to the handle to help you hand on to it better. The scrubber is housed in a waterproof casing and is powered by four AA batteries so you can dunk it in water without worrying about electrocuting yourself. It comes with a bristle brush and two heavy duty scrub pads. I've only needed the bristle brush; I tried the pads, but found that the bristle brush best suits my needs so I've put the pads in a drawer. By the way, the attachments come off easy, even I with less than normal strength can exchange them easily. It only has one speed; it's either on or off. The on/off button is easy to use. I haven't found to be a problem that there is only one speed. According to the Black & Decker website it has RPM of 160 and Torque of 25 in-lbs. It comes with a two year warranty. I've had mine a year now and it has shown no signs of slowing down. Without the attachments it stands just under seven inches tall; so it's small enough to fit in a drawer. On the bottom there is a small hook you can use to hang it up. There is no choice in color; it comes in a white with a pale sea foam green trim. If you ask me this is a wimpy looking color. I would prefer a bold color like red or a dark bright blue to match the bristle brush's color.

You can buy it online or from Target for $19.99. Not to brag or anything, but I got it on clearance for half the price. If you have arthritis like I do this would be a good product to add to your cleaning supplies.

Thanks, Genie! I'm a small appliance junkie, and that's something I don't have. My kids always want ideas for Christmas gifts and I seldom want anything, so I'll have to tell them about this appliance.
