This is a Review of the Black and Decker Digital Advantage Iron Model # D2030

The Black and Decker D2030 Auto-Off Digital Advantage Iron is a dream come true for me. I have been looking 2 years for an iron to replace the one I had. It seem everyone I bought was too light and did not produce steam like it was suppose to.

With this iron I don't have any problems ironing wrinkles out of my clothes, regardless of the type of fabric it is, this iron does the job.

It's heavy, it produces steam the way it should, it gets hot and the proper fabric settings don't melt or scorch my clothes. I couldn't be happier with the Black and Decker D2030 Auto-Off Digital Advantage Iron, and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good sturdy iron that you don't have to guess which setting to iron your clothes.

Other irons have settings that are either too hot or too warm for the fabrics they are designated for, or the steam doesn't work, or the spray mist doesn't work. With the Black and Decker Digital Advantage Iron, you won't have any of those problems.

Features:

This iron has lots of features that were all designed to make ironing easier for those of us who still iron. It has 1,500 watts of heating power, it has customized settings for ironing lots of different materials and it has back lighting so you have easier viewing.

It also has a motion sensor for the on/off mechanism, an audible alert system that lets you know when the temperature you want is ready, and when it's shutting off.

• 1500 Watts
• Soft Grip Handle
• Pivoting Cord
• Flip Open Water-Fill Door
• Lighted Digital Display
• Lighted On/Off Indicator
• Auto Off
• Vertical Steam
• Easy-Access Variable Steam Setting Dial
• Spray Mist
• Surge of Steam
• Auto-Clean
• Stainless-Steel Sole Plate for Smooth Gliding; Resists Corrosion
• A System Which Sounds When Your Temperature is Reached and When it Shuts Off

I hate to keep harping on the same features of this wonderful iron, but if you don't have steam, a spray mist and proper temperature setting that you can depend on, then the iron is practically useless to anybody, and that's what I like most about this iron.

It does have a lot of nice features, but I like it because of the reasons I stated above. I wanted an iron that I could plug in, let it get hot and know that whatever I was ironing would have no wrinkles when I finished. Like I stated earlier, I've had 3 irons in a two year period that did not do this.

Size And Weight:

This iron is heavy. It weighs 4 pounds. It has a stainless steel sole plate and a nice easy to hold handle. This Black and Decker Iron measures 5 X 11 ½ X 6 inches, and has a one year warranty.

Price:

I purchased my iron from Wal-Mart for $54 dollars, but I've seen them at Sears for $65 and Amazon for $40 dollars. So shop around until you get the best price. Of course the less you pay, the better. However the Black and Decker D2030 Auto-Off Digital Advantage Iron is such a wonderful iron that I probably would have paid the $65 at Sears, if I had gone there first.

Rating:

I give this iron a five-star rating. I also checked Amazon and according to them, 742 other people also give this iron a five-star rating. So if you're in the market for an iron, try this one and see if you don't agree.
