Product Review: Brooks Sport Women's Glycerine 7 and Trance 9

They're here! At last, they are finally here! The Brooks Glycerine 7's and Trance 9's with BIOMOGO are here! If you've worn a Brooks running shoe, you'll know what I mean! I've done two weeks of training in the Glycerine 7's and Trance 9's and they wear like a 5K dream.

Open up a Brooks shoe box and introduce yourself to the best running shoes on the market! Slip them on, lace them up and begin to discover how well the Brooks motto, "Run Happy," has been designed to fit your running style.

Brooks and Nike have always been my choice for running shoes. Brooks are my all-time favorite choice for everyday, training shoes because they hug the road like fine racing tire tread. By that I mean they provide me the stability and comfort to make running feel natural, pleasurable, and efficient.

In fact, I can't even begin to count how many miles I've put on a pair of Brooks. I've worn them until there was almost no tread left in spite of the experts recommending a new pair every 300 to 500 miles.

The BioMechanics of Brooks Shoes

High performance running shoes are engineered to specific foot forms: over pronator (flat feet/no arch), neutral pronator (normal arch), and supinator (very high arch). Brooks has shoes made especially for all foot forms. Most high performance shoes are purchased with the intent to compete on some level of competition. Nonetheless, I recommend Brooks high performance shoes for every person at any level because they offer the safest and most reliable support a person can purchase.

So in plain everyday language the biomechanics of a Brooks, to list only a few of the fine qualities, include shock prevention - (Brooks term is "shock-dampening") - midsole rollbar engineering, and BioMoGo. Shock-dampening is provided by layering e-1 material and BioMoGo to provide "extra softness, resilience, and cushion," in every step.

Glycerine 7 and Trance 9 Wear Results

I found the Glycerine and Trance wear totally! true to form with the advertising. The major design and wear differences, in my opinion, between the Glycerine 7 and the Trance 9, are in the shoe structures. The arch in the Trance 9 is a little higher and tighter with a more compact toe box compared to the feel of the Glycerine 7 with it's lower arch and wider toe box. When I put on the Trance 9 I felt a sense of being ready to run. I mean take off and run. While when putting on the Glycerine 9 it's fit prompted me to want to take off on a long slow jog and enjoy the ride and the scenery. Both shoes scored tops in comfort, stability, and support. The only suggestion I would make is jazzy color designs would increase sales because they would be really too millenium "cool" to believe.

Brooks has seriously taken on the task of reducing their carbon footprint in all their products and yours too if you BUY BROOKS! Don't take my word for it. Read Brooks' Green statement for yourself. If you aren't as impressed as I with Brooks Sports stewardship statement, I want to know about it and so do the good folks at Brooks Sports. I believe you'll agree, Brooks is not just interested in selling shoes. They are leading the corporate pack in changing the running world for the better.
