The Pain Relief Wand uses infrared light technology that penetrates through the skin to get to your painful muscles and joints. The LED lights emit infrared light and warm the tissue to increase blood flow to the area. It works similarly to a heating pad, but with this technology it can get deeper into the pain. I also find that it is easier to use because it takes less time to work. The Wand was designed to temporarily relieve pain, so don't expect it to cure your problems. However, I do find that it works effectively to eliminate my pain for awhile so that I no longer need to take my prescription painkillers.
Because of the shape of the wand, you can use it wherever on your body you need to relieve pain. It is compact and lightweight so it is easy for anyone to use. The only place I have trouble holding it is on my upper back, but that would be an awkward place to use any product. It is also small enough to pack in your suitcase and bring with you when you travel. It also has an attractive design with a silver finish.
I purchased this product because I was experiencing pain in my left knee from running. The pain had gotten so bad that I started walking instead. After using this product for about three days, I was able to begin running again. I use the wand each day after my run and I am good to go for the next day.
The only problem I have with this product is that I wish it had rechargeable batteries instead of needing to be plugged in so I could use it in more locations.
To use the wand, you simply need to turn it on and hold it over the painful area. You will feel the area warm up but it never burns. Depending on the degree of pain, you can move the wand after the area starts to feel better. The wand works fairly quickly on muscles but seems to take a little longer on joints.
This product is useful if you are looking to reduce pain while decreasing your reliance on painkillers.
