As cute as the Bunny Ka-Bob is, neither of my hamsters seem to be too pleased with the wooden chews it comes with. However the bell attached at the bottom of the bob, keeps the hamsters entertained for hours. I also find the Bunny Ka-bob a great tool for adding fresh vegetables and fruit on. It is very hard though to add things such as carrots, but squishy fruit and veggies work best. If you are going to do this though, you need to be very careful to not give your hamster diarrhea, balance it off with some bananas or fiber.
The bunny Ka-bob is easy to set up. All you have to do is unscrew the metal cap right above the bell, till it upside down and fill it up, then put it back on tightly, and unscrew the opening at the top and put it between your hamsters cage's bars. Be aware though that Bunny Ka-bob may not fit your hamster cage. Hamster cages come in all shapes and sizes, and you do need some serious height with Bunny Ka-bob.
The wood chucks are meant to help your hamsters dental health. So even if your hamster doesn't like them, having them on the ka-bob can't hurt anything, and it helps add space between the different choices of fruit and vegetables. You also don't just have to add something eatable to the Ka-bob, you can add things like a ball of newspaper or one of those fluffy ball cat toys. My hamsters love to tear them up and put them into their bedding.
This Bunny Ka-bob runs anywhere from $4 - $7 but shopping online makes it more expensive due to shipping reasons. So do not purchase it online unless you can get free shipping. It's a waste of your money to pay more then $7 for this item when it's cheap everywhere else.
I would be cool if they had a Bunny Ka-bob that went sideways. Then it wouldn't matter the size of your cage because you could fill it up till it goes out of the cage.
I rate Bunny Ka-bob a 5 out of 5 stars, as do my hamsters.
