I'm happy to say that I like Cadbury's Fruit and Nut bars even more than I did as a child. The milk chocolate is creamy, soft and flavorful and the bar is fairly studded with raisins and toasted almonds. I also sampled the Cadbury Dairy Milk bar and the Cadbury Royal Dark chocolate bar. The Dairy Milk bar had the same creamy chocolate texture and taste as the Fruit and Nut bar, only without any additions. It was quite delectable. I was a little disappointed in the Royal Dark chocolate bar as I found the chocolate to be a little too sweet and bland for my taste. It was still delicious though. All in all, the quality, texture and flavor of the Cadbury bars were quite excellent.
Cadbury's Fruit and Nut bar is 4 ounces (113 grams) and a serving size is 10 blocks, or 40 grams. While Cadbury Chocolates was created in 1824 by John Cadbury in England, Hershey's holds the license to manufacture Cadbury chocolates here in the U.S. Cadbury is and was one of the most popular chocolates in the UK. I only wish that we could sample the Cadbury Flake over here in the U.S.!
Cadbury's also has a couple of new flavors with Cadbury's Irish Cream chocolate bars and Cadbury's Toffee filled chocolate bars. I highly recommend any of them to chocolate lovers, especially for those who enjoy a really good quality milk chocolate.
