Product Review: Calms Forte 4 Kids by Hyland's

This homeopathic remedy is great for children. It is a formula based off the adult version of the Hyland's brand Calms Forte remedy. It is great for soothing upset children or as a sleep aid for children who can't turn their minds off at bedtime.

It is also a nice remedy for after a trauma. It also helps greatly with reducing night terrors and the amount of nightmares your child might have. IT may also help reduce bedwetting incidents to a degree. It really will help calm your child and soothe them for bedtime or quiet time. They are great for taking when you travel too. You never know when you will need them with little one's especially! But even older kids can benefit from this remedy. Even moody teens!

Homeopathic medicine uses the energy extracted from plants, animals and minerals to treat various physical conditions. They are an alternative medicine and extremely gentle and have no side effects. They are completely safe to use by children and babies as well as adults. This remedy is made especially for and geared towards kids but the adult version works just as well and the kid's version works for adults too.

The standard dose is 2-4 tablets under the tongue. The bottle has dose recommendations based on age and weight of your child. I usually always use 2 at a time though personally. Usually that works well for me.

This remedy has worked great for my children on countless occasions when they are having tantrums or I am just not able to soothe them any other way. I Also keep a bottle on hand! It also works for at night time when they are too revved up for sleep. Or also during teething or an illness when they are cranky and irritable. These tablets work almost on contact it seems to calm them down or soothe the upsets.

The tablets are teeny tiny sugar pills and they have no aftertaste or unpleasantness to them. They are super easy to administer even to the smallest and most stubborn child.

Be sure to hide the bottle though as the tablets taste like candy. don't worry if they get into them though. They will not get sick if they do accidentally ingest a whole bottle (or more). Ask me how I know.

The only downside to this remedy is there is no childproof cap on the bottle. I guess because its harmless they saw no need for it. I can't tell you how many bottles of remedies I have had to replace because my kids got into them! Be sure to keep them out of sight! The little ones will almost surely think it's candy. But it's so easy to give your kids their medicine using homeopathics as they taste good.

If your child is lactose tolerant you will not want to use this remedy as it contains lactose.
