Well after getting Carefree body shape extra long pantiliners home, I opened one up for use, only to discover that if this is what Carefree considers "extra long", I would hate to see their normal, or thong pantiliners. I took a ruler out and measured the pad. Eight inches long is what Carefree considers "extra long" pantiliners. I compared it to Kotex, and Always, neither of their liners were anywhere near as tiny as Carefree's "extra long".
I don't understand how something can be considered "extra long", or even labeled as such when in fact it's no where near even long let alone "extra long". Thank God I checked these out before I left for my trip, was all I could think. I would have been royally pissed off.
I called the 1-800 number listed on the back of the package. Carefree tried to tell me that their product is no way comparable to Kotex, or Always. That it's a completely different format. This leaves me even more confused. How can Always pantiliners, and Kotex pantiliners be a different format to Carefree's pantiliners? I not only expressed my disappointment to her on the phone about how small they were, I asked if they were for children, and not adults since there is no way that any of the Carefree products would cover an adults private. She confirmed that Carefree products are made for "smaller" individuals, yet no where on the package does it say "pads for teens, small children, or women of a size 4 and under". It also doesn't list the inches, or approximate size on the packaging anywhere. Perhaps this should be added in light of the fraudulently usage of the wording "extra long."
I guess Carefree body shape extra long pantiliners are great if you have young children who happen to be on their period, but once they become adults they will need to understand "extra long" to Carefree, means normal pantiliners. This must be why, and how Carefree keeps their prices down.
Carefree is false advertising their products, they could be mislabeled, but according to the woman on the phone, eight inches is correct for a Carefree extra long pantiliner.
