Product Review: The Clean and Clear Blackhead Eraser Kit

Amy Kay
Blackheads - Those pesky little face invaders that just won't go away. There are so many products on the market that claim to make blackheads "dissolve", "vanish", or "disappear." Clean and Clear recently put out a product called the Blackhead Eraser Kit. But does this Blackhead Eraser really erase blackheads or are the claims too good to be true?

Clean and Clear Blackhead Eraser Kit: Product Description

The Clean and Clear Blackhead Eraser has a battery operated hand held applicator. The gentle vibrations of the applicator help exfoliate the skin while the lightly textured medicated pads deliver blackhead dissolving serum to reduce blackheads and help new ones from forming.

Review: Ease of Use

The velcro cleansing pads attach to the applicator with ease. The applicator is compact and has a slip-free grip. The design makes it easy to target all the key blackhead zones like the chin and the sides of the nose. The kit comes ready for use. There are so many products now-a-days that will send you searching your house for lone batteries, but the Clean and Clear Blackhead Eraser Kit comes equipped with a AA battery.

Review: Price

The Clean and Clear Blackhead Eraser Kit will set you back $18- $20. The kit comes with 20 medicated pads and it is recommended that you use this product 3-4 times a week. Replacement pads cost approximately $7

Review: Effectiveness

The Clean and Clear Blackhead Eraser didn't erase all of my blackheads, but I did notice some difference in the reduction of blackheads after use. The applicator and pads are good for exfoliation so my skin immediately felt softer and cleaner after using this product- almost like a deep cleansing spa facial.

A few hours after I used the Blackhead Eraser, my skin felt a little dry. The active ingredient in the Blackhead Eraser is salicylic acid. So if you're prone to dry skin, I would invest in an oil-free moisturizer.

I tried this product without really knowing what to expect, but overall I was fairly impressed. If you're looking for a miracle cure for your blackheads, this isn't it. But if you want something that will make your skin a little softer, cleaner, brighter, and clearer the Clean and Clear Blackhead Eraser Kit is worth a try.

I bought it lastnight and my skin feels great, I can see where it can be harsh and can dry out skin if overused. My skin is somewhat sensative & blackheads are rare so I don't plan on using it much.

Like it has been said below the eraser does not completely take away your blackheads unfortunately my story however was that because of my abundance of blackheads on my nose and my dry skin my nose felt prickly when I caressed it and after using the eraser several time my blackheads have gotten smaller u need to be up close to see my nose has gotten smoother and even after year(i have stopped using it after a couple of weeks cuz i got lazy) my nose remains the same and with my daily face cleansing regime my blackhead problem has minimized

I bought this, and it is making a difference on my face. My blackheads do seem to be going away after about a week of using it my skin is getting very clear. The only problem is around my nose and chin area my skin is becoming very irritated and dry. I have had problems with blackhead for many years now and this DOES make a difference, and I have used a lot of different treaments. I just need to invest in an oil-free moisturizer now..

the device itself is pointless...if you just buy the refills and use them on your face without the device, it works just as good. don't be fooled by the vibrating gimmick, its just to get you to pay the extra 20 bucks, however, the chemicals in the pad do work. besides, all that is in the vibrating device is a dc motor, a weight and a battery -- rip off alert...just buy the refill pads.
