Product Review: Clean & Clear Oil Free Dual Action Moisturizer

Rachel Berkely
Pros: Has a great feeling when applied, moisturizes well, great size for traveling, helps prevent acne, goes on smoothly, and features a convenient pump.

Cons: Helps current acne some, but didn't live up to expectations. You need to use a follow up target treatment if you have bad acne.

Description on back of the bottle:

"This unique lotion combines oil-free moisturizers with a proven pimple-fighting ingredient. Leaves skin feeling smooth and soft while helping to treat and prevent pimples."

My Review
The Clean & Clear Oil-Free Dual Action Moisturizer was an overall great product. I have insanely dry skin, and although the moisturizer did work really well, in some spots I did notice small signs of dryness (but nothing that couldn't be fixed by adding another light moisturizer as well to the routine). I have a little bit of acne, and although it did help, I would recommend following it up with a treatment specifically for targeting and getting rid of zits and pimples. However, it did work really well on preventing acne as long as I used the product regularly (I've been using it 2-3 times a day, once in the morning, once at night, and during the day if I need it). When I put on this lotion, it made my skin feel amazing. It almost felt a little "hot" in a way. It's like you can feel your skin clearing up and the lotion going down and far cleaning things out. The size is great for traveling, and the pump was really convenient for me. If you twist the knob it will also prevent lotion from leaking out if you do plan on bringing it with you while you are traveling.

The second week I tried using this, I also combined it with Clean & Clear's Advantage Acne Control 3 Step set. It worked great! I had no signs of acne at all after a few days, and it lasted a very long time. Another plus was that the Clean & Clear Dual Action Moisturizer didn't clash with the other products by Clean & Clear, so I could use both without irritating or hurting my skin (and my skin gets irritated very easily)!

For the price I paid for this (around $5 for 4 oz. at Wal-Mart) I will definitely be purchasing it again and again!
