The lady who did my makeover washed my face first with the Clinique Liquid Soap. She recommended that I buy the soap and the other two products that she had used on my face. One of my concerns about doing a makeover had been the hard sales pitch that I would encounter. I didn't want to be talked into buying a lot of unnecessary products. She assured me that none of them were unnecessary because it was a three step process. I told her that I only wanted the three products to wash my face with and the liquid makeup. I had planned to buy more makeup than that, but I didn't like the colors that she had used. Once she got me to the register, she swapped the liquid soap for bar soap. I was a bit annoyed at this, as I had wanted liquid soap. She gave me an explanation, but I didn't quite hear it since she was talking so fast.
I tried the bar soap at home that night. After a few days of using it, my face broke out in red bumps. I contacted the store where I had purchased it, and they said that I could return it. However, they were out of the mild soap. I also contacted the district manager for Clinique and told him about how she had sold me soap that wasn't mild because that was all they had in stock. Then, I contacted the other department store that has a Clinique counter and they told me that they had the mild soap. After getting my money back from the first store, I bought the Clinique Extra Mild Liquid Facial Soap from the other store.
I saw an immediate difference from using the Clinique Extra Mild Liquid Facial Soap. I have been using it for a few months now. My face has never broken out from using it, as it did from the other kinds of soap I had tried. Since the soap is mild, I was hesitant at first because I felt like a mild soap might not really clean as well as a stronger one. But that isn't the case with this mild soap. I also have fewer pimples since I started using it. It isn't marketed as a pimple reducer, but maybe it should be. The product also lasts a long time because you don't have to use much of it. I highly recommend this product to anyone who has had trouble finding a sensitive enough soap.

Post a CommentI just tried this out a few weeks ago for the first time, and I LOVE it. I use it with the mild toner and the dramatically different moisturizing gel. I have extremely sensitive skin and this doesn't dry it out or make me itch at all.
I need a new facial cleanser, my skin breaks out in the summer heat. I'll have to try some!
