Product Review: C.O. Bigelow's Moisture-rich Facial Cleanser

The C.O. Bigelow line that Bath and Body Works carries features many products. One such product is the 'moisture-rich facial cleanser'. I've used this product for about a month and I am satisfied with it. It does what the packaging says it will - it gently cleanses and doesn't dry skin.

I was a bit hesitant to try this facial cleanser because the C.O. Bigelow products can be a little pricy. The full price of this product is $15. However, I have found that this cleanser does a good enough job that I don't really mind spending more than I normally would.

What I like best about the moisture-rich facial cleanser is that it is very gentle. I have sensitive skin, so any type of harsh cleanser isn't good. The cleanser is non-foaming (some foaming cleansers irritate sensitive skin).

I also like that C.O. Bigelow features natural active ingredients. The packaging states it has 5% cucumber extract and 2% shea butter. The cleanser also has rice milk. These ingredients really helped to moisturize and calm my skin.

I initially did not care for the scent. It smells a bit like soy milk to me. However, you really can't smell it after you rinse, so this didn't remain an issue for long.

I was also a bit skeptical about the moisturizing aspect of this cleanser. I have combination skin, so I often use a moisturizing product to treat the dry areas. Some products really go overboard on the moisture, and make the oily parts worse. This C.O. Bigelow cleanser did not go overboard. It was nice to find something that gives just enough moisture.

The moisture-rich facial cleanser also makes my skin feel great. After washing with this product, my face feels clean and soft. Much better than when you use a product that leaves your skin feeling dry and tight.

I was also surprised to find out how long this product lasts. I've been using the product once a day for about a month and the bottle is still about ¾ full. (The bottle is 8 ounces). A little of this cleanser goes a long way so my initial investment is going to last me a while.

Overall, the C.O. Bigelow moisture-rich facial cleanser is a good product. The natural ingredients make your skin feel great and the bottle will last quite a while. Best of all, the product performs exactly as it's packaging says it will.
