Product Review of Concourse Athens 6 Piece Luggage Set

Susan Slade
After my luggage was stolen last year on my trip to England I had to go out and purchase new. I wanted a lot of luggage for a little money and found it with the Concourse Athens 6 piece luggage set.

Last week it was in the K-Mart flyer marked down from $79.99 to $49.99 but of course none were in stock. I picked up a rain check for it and waited until the sale was over. Yesterday Len and I checked with the warehouse in the back of the store and the gentleman brought out the new set.

It comprises of a 29-inch expandable Pullman, 24-inch vertical Pullman, 19-inch carry on with an internal luggage handle, a wheeling tote, club bag, and a toiletry kit.

We decided on the blue, as the majority of suitcases on the conveyor belt at airports are black.

I will be using the 29-inch, the 19-inch and the wheeling tote. Len can have the 24-inch and the club bag that will slide over the handle of the wheeling tote so it won't have to be carried as hand luggage.

Price of course was my main reason but also this luggage has a 10-year warranty, if the airline doesn't lose it for me. The largest one has regular handles on the bottom, side, and top, as well as the internal, telescoping handle, which you have to push to release it. This case also expands a further 2 inches so I can take more gifts for the grandchildren.

The set have self-repairing rust proof zippers and the ones on wheels are easy glide, inline wheels. The cases are made from industrial strength polyester material and feel so light.

The largest case has 3 front zipper pockets and the small ones have 2. The wheeling tote and the club bag has a front pocket to carry important travel documents. The toilet kit has an extra wide zipper opening with a side carry handle. It is larger than most and has a water-resistance PVC backing to protect your toiletries from spillage.

I have been wheeling these pieces of luggage around the house and they handle great. I am really happy about the extra room they provide. I have no problem packing all the gifts for England and having plenty of room for my own personal stuff that will have to last me for almost 3 weeks.

These cases are more versatile than the ones I purchased last year from American Tourist, for my trip, they cost less, and give me a lot more of what I want. Thank you British Airways for losing my luggage and allowing me to purchase new for free.

Isn't it infuriating to have stuff stolen? Glad you found a suitable replacement.

I've had my luggage end up in other countries, but never lost for good. Sorry this had to happen to you. This luggage set sounds great.
