Product Review of Conns Potato Chips

Conns Chips Can't Be Compared to Any Other Potato Chip, But We'll Try Anyway

Chen Salis
In Ohio you can find Conn's Potato Chips. They are a local staple. They are unique and wonderful. Always fresh and delicious. As I have not always lived in Ohio I know for a fact there is no other chip like Conn's out there. You really can't even compare them to another brand. I will compare the ones I have tried to Conn's .

Frito Lay has potential to be good, but they are not likely to add my flavoring to the chips. I hate it when a sour cream and onion chip tastes like a regular! Herr's makes a better product than Frito Lay when I had Conn's cravings I would occasionally substitute Crab flavored chips for my beloved Conn's.
Herr's is more flavorful than Frito Lay, but I personally am not into wavy chips so I tend to avoid them.

Uncle Rays is a brand my family loves! The heart felt stories they print on each bag and the unique flavors make it an instant family favorite. We love Conney Dog and Sweet Onion the best ! Uncle Rays also offers a dill, mustard, and sour cream and onion flavors that are good. I think they are up and coming and not widely recognized yet.

I have consulted friends who have moved away from the area about Conn's chips. It is official everyone loves how they are kind of greasy. Joe Sherman told me " I miss Salt and Vinegar Conn's , they could bring a tear to your eye!" When I lived in Florida I begged my sister to mail me a few bags of Conn's. They are produced in Lancaster, Columbus and Zanesville Ohio. They are a wonderful value and a good quality product. There really is nothing like them in the world.

It is like that with Ski pop based in Wellston Ohio. They offer ski, which is similar to Mountain Dew, double cola, cream soda, grape, orange and diet ski as well as a few others. Ski pop comes in small plastic bottles and Ski pop is always a hit with kids! I know I drank my share of it in my youth and I did miss Gem Cream Soda when I was wavy from Ohio. Ski pop is a regional specialty, and it is a good local effort. If you get a chance to try it, you will be pleased.

Ohio is also one of the few places that refer to Soda as pop. I don't know why that is but around here we have pop. Not soda.

If live in Ohio and can get these products you should send a surprise care package of them to a friend or loved one who does not live here anymore. The Conn's and Ski Pop will bring a smile to their face surely!
