Product Review: Crest Pro-Health Mouth Wash
Crest Pro-Health Kills Millions of Germs Without the Burn of Alcohol
The bottle is clear making the blue mouthwash visible. The front of the bottle is mainly blue and silver. There is a big, blue, rectangular shaped bar running down the center, with a white box placed about 3/4 of the way up it. The rectangular shaped bar says that the product provides the dentist recommended benefits of fighting plaque, gingivitis, and bad breath for twelve hours. The white box states that is is a CPC antigingivitis/antiplaque oral rinse. There appears to be a light shining from behind those center blocks. The top of the label shines brightly and states that it is alcohol free.
The back of the bottle provides the drug facts; active and inactive ingredients, uses, warnings, and directions. The uses for this product are to help prevent and reduce plaque and gingivitis and to help control plaque bacteria that contribute to the development of gingivitis and bleeding gums. The recommended age for use of this mouth wash is six years and older.
In order to promote the product, Crest paired their Whitening Expressions toothpaste with the Pro-Health mouth wash. For a limited time you could buy both the toothpaste and the mouth wash for one low price. Needless to say, we stocked up. I do not plan on buying the harsher mouth washes ever again, unless my husband wants them. I think he kind of enjoys the burn of regular mouth wash. Maybe it makes him feel like it is actually working. This mouth wash really does deliver what it promises. It does not burn at all. My children, ages six and nine, both love this product. It tastes very good, almost too good. It leaves your mouth feeling clean and minty.

Post a CommentI used this mouth wash last night and it made everything taste awful. I don't know if it burned off all my taste buds or what, but my tounge feels like it does when I burn it on food. When I woke up this morning and had a glass of water I thought there was something wrong with my water until I tried eating and realized everything tasted that way!
After using Crest Pro Health only a few days I have this horrible metalic taste. Everything I eat tasts the same. Does anyone else have this problem?
to the person who said you would only get the brown spots if you werent brushing/flossing properly or seeing your dentist, 6 mnths ago i paid $800 for a deep seal root cleaning , i also floss 2x a day and because of this product i have disgusting brown spots. I do not drink red wine, smoke or drink coffee. Lets see whats next for Crest to blame this on, my teeth are GROSS and ONLY because of this product
my father used crest pro-health once and it burned his tongue and mucosa on his gums very badly . he had a realy hard time eating for about three days. sure would like to know whats in this product that would burn the inside of his mouth that bad.
A law firm is investigating this product. It is The Law Offices of Bell & Brigham. The phone number is 1-866-722-2014.
Crest pro health rinse DEFINITELY stains teeth. I'm a fanatic brusher and flosser and never had a problem with tartar buildup. And I get thorough dental cleanings every six months. Yet just a few short weeks after I started using the Crest rinse, I had brown stains along my gumline, behind my front bottom teeth, and some staining in between teeth. I immediately saw my dentist, and it took a very prolonged cleaning to remove the stains. DON'T use this product.
Cetylpyridinium chloride (CPC) does not stain enamel, but will stain plaque biofilm. If you are experiencing staining with this product, it's because you are not brushing and flossing properly. It's also an indication that you are not seeing your dental hygienist every six months for a cleaning. That's why you see staining between the teeth, the most likely place for plaque to occur and the hardest to brush.
Crest Pro-Health Rinse stains teeth. Go check out the reviews on Amazon or do a google search.
I like this. Your review is very welll-written.
What's odd is I was using Listerine Whitening and switched to alcohol-free Crest and it burns the bejeezus out of my mouth. Maybe it't time for a dentist. Good review.
