Pros
With a super big feed tube your work becomes easier when dealing with large-size potato, onion, tomato, apple or whatever else you want to chop and slice. This may not sound like a big thing but when you regularly use a food processor this "small" convenience can make a huge difference. It also comes with a small polycarbonate feed tube which is very strong and durable.
This food processor has very sharp blades and enough power to make short work out of anything. Whether you're making bread/pizza dough, slicing potatoes, chopping bread or grating cheese you will see that it does the job well and it does it fast. In short if you spend a lot of time in the kitchen this powerful food processor can be a huge help.
When it comes to cleaning this model is easier to clean than its predecessor thanks to the new design for the cover and the bowl. Note that they will last much longer if you would spend the time hand-washing them in the sink. I know it's dishwasher safe but any kitchen appliance would last longer when you hand-wash them.
Cons
Numerous "horror" stories have spread in the internet about the build quality of the Cuisinart DLC-2011N Prep 11 Plus food processor. It seems that there's a great variance in build quality for this particular model. Burning motor and cracking plastic are just some of the problems that people discover. Perhaps Cuisinart's quality assurance department was on vacation when this product was manufactured or perhaps this model was manufactured in different factories. Anyway, when people have to gamble their money on something that may or may not working that's not a good thing.
Conclusion
When you buy the Cuisinart DLC-2011N Prep 11 Plus food processor assume that there's a 50% chance it's going to be a dud. If you end up with a good one then congratulation you just got yourself a treat. But if it's a dud then sorry you're out of luck. It's either the plastic parts that will fall apart first or the motor. Anyways unless you have an extraordinary supply of patience within you I suggest you refrain from contacting Cuisinart's customer service. Save yourself the pain, forget about the $150 you just wasted and go find a new food processor from a different brand.
