Product Review of Dannon Activia Dairy Drink

Angel
Activia is a yogurt especially designed to naturally regulate your digestive system. However, nowhere on the packaging does it say that its yogurt, it is almost as though Dannon wants to separate themselves from their fellow competors.

I have tried Activia yogurt cups in the past, which didn't regulate me at all. Now I know what the commercials claim, and I also know that Activia is offering you their "it works or it's free" guarantee. I have taken that challenge, and asked for my money back.

You may be asking yourself "If she's not pleased with Dannon Activia's yogurt cups, why would she pick up the drinks?" Well the answer to that question is very simple, to see the difference. I love shakes, and I do enjoy the Dan Active drinks by Dannon, so I figured this shouldn't be much different.

I went through the countless choices of flavors of Dannon Activia dairy drinks at my local Giant Eagle store and settled on Strawberry. It was plain and simple, not mixed fruit or peach, but a flavor I knew all too well. I checked the date to make sure it was fresh, and going to stay that way for a while just in case I didn't have time to get around to it.

After getting in the door at home, dying of thirst, and seeing the first thing I unpacked just so happened to be Dannon Activia dairy drink, I decided to pop one open and have a cool drink as I unpacked the bags.

My first reaction as it poured Dannon Activia dairy drink into my mouth was shock, and sickness. It was THICK, and I mean really thick, like someone took the Activia yogurt cups, and added a bit of water, called it a drink, and charged a dollar more for it. I took it back, and peered inside the bottle thinking to myself, maybe it's old, maybe I read the date wrong, chunky milk means it's bad. I looked at the date again confused. The date was good. I thought maybe I didn't shake it up enough, or maybe I was overreacting. I put the foil lid on, and proceeded to shake Activia dairy drink up a bit, and then took another drink. Not so bad this time, I thought. But it was still thick! I looked all over the Activia packaging, and it doesn't even express that it's a thick drink. So I finished the drink disappointed.

I called Activia's 1 -800 number and let them know this, they told me that they would pass my comments onto marketing.

I would like to suggest to anyone willing or even considering purchasing Dannon Activia dairy drink to just buy the regular Activia, add water yourself and save a dollar.

Activia is a good product if it works for you. If not, then it's just good yogurt.

I rate Dannon Activia dairy drink a 2 out of 5 stars. The reason for this is, it's one dollar more then the yogurt cups, and I could have made it myself with the Activia yogurt cups.
