Product Review: Desert Essence Gentle Nourishing Day Cream SPF

Now that it is summertime, I never leave the house to play in the sun without wearing Desert Essence Gentle Nourishing Day Cream SPF. I feel this face cream does wonders with protecting my skin from sun damage, while also preventing signs of aging. It is also an excellent anytime moisturizer for the skin when it becomes dried out.

The Desert Essence Gentle Nourishing Day Cream SPF 15 comes in a 2 fluid ounce squeezable bottle. It fits right in my cosmetic case nicely, which I love. Inside the bottle is this creamy thick day cream that is white in color and made with natural ingredients like minerals, vitamins, antioxidants, coconuts, herbal extracts, olive fruits, soy, aloe and essential moisturizing oils that help protect the skin from the sun naturally. These natural ingredients also help soothe dry skin, prevent wrinkles and age spots and helps nourish the skin so it always looks and feels its best, which are other things I love about this cream.

Now I find it is best to apply this nourishing day cream onto a clean face because it absorbs better into the skin. When it absorbs better into the skin it is able to protect it better from the sun's harmful UV rays. The way I like to apply this facial cream is by taking a small amount with my fingertips and than massaging it into my face really well using upward and outer motions until it is fully absorbed. This cream is rich, but it does not make my skin oil, greasy, heavy, sticky or tacky. My skin actually feels just soft, light and airy after using this facial cream. However, if you do decide to go in the water and you get your face wet it does tend to sting the eyes. Another thing to keep in mind is this is not a waterproof day cream so make sure you reapply it after being in the water.

I would highly recommend this natural day cream to everyone to use to help protect his or her skin from the sun naturally and effectively. I know I love this day cream and will always have some on hand because it has prevented my skin from aging and sun damage. However, this cream is expensive, but well worth the money because like I said it does exactly what it is suppose too. I do hope those of you who try this facial cream out as well like the way it works.
