Product Review: Desert Essence Natural Shea Butter Body Cream

There is nothing better for skin than Shea butter. One of the Shea butter body care products I have been trying is the Desert Essence Natural Shea Butter Body Cream. The cream is so creamy and thick and does amazingly with nourishing and hydrating my skin. It has evened helped soften up my hands and feet nicely too.

The Desert Essence Natural Shea Butter Body Creams comes in a 6 fluid ounce squeezable bottle that is actually hard for me to squeeze. I think it is because the body cream is so rich and thick. However, the body cream is not greasy, oily or heavy feeling either. The organic ingredients in this body cream are essential moisturizing oils, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, Shea butter, honey, herbal extracts, beeswax, fruit extracts and nut oils. These natural ingredients help keep my skin well nourished, hydrated and protected throughout my day as I am wearing it. I love the fact that I only need to apply this body cream once a day instead of twice.

Now I like to apply this Shea butter cream to my skin after I have exfoliated my skin well in the shower with a Shea butter body scrub. I find when my skin is well exfoliated, warm and damp the body cream is able to soak into my skin better and is able to help nourish it well. When I do not exfoliate my skin in the shower and I just apply the cream, it can be thick and heavy on my skin. The way I like to apply this Shea butter body cream is by taking a couple handfuls and massaging it directly into my skin from head to toe until it has absorbed and my skin feels well nourished and moisturized well. However, I have to say I do not like the strong unpleasant herbal fruity scent this body cream has. I wish they would leave the fragrance out of this body care product because it would be more pleasing to use.

However, since I have been using this cream my skin is much softer and always has a bright warm golden glow too it. My hands and feet are much softer to and do not become dried out and cracked as easy which I really love. I would highly recommend this Shea butter body cream simply because of how well it works with nourishing, hydrating and protecting my skin. Those of you who do not like strong fragrant body creams should simply stay away from the cream because the scent is hard to bare. Other than that, this is an affordable body cream and I do hope those of you who use it like the way it improves the texture and appearance of your skin and body naturally without harsh ingredients.
