Product Review: Dial Yogurt Vanilla Honey Body Wash

J M K
I bought Dial's newest body wash because I trust the brand and liked the sound of a yogurt body wash. The price was a selling point too. The new Dial Yogurt nourishing body wash turned out not to be worth it.

Price
Price was honestly the first thing to attract me to the Dial Yogurt body wash. Who wants to pay $10 for soap? I went to Target and looked for the lowest priced body wash that still had a little flair. At $5.29 for a 16 ounce bottle, Dial's Yogurt body wash was one of the cheapest on the shelf. On price, the Dial Yogurt Vanilla Honey body wash gets 5 out of 5.

Scent
The vanilla honey scent is light and delicious. Most body washes, including Dial body washes, have a strong scent that is overpowering. The scent is light and sweet, like vanilla with a bit of honey and citrus. The scent is strong enough to stay with you all day without overpowering your perfume. On scent, the Dial Yogurt Vanilla Honey body wash gets 5 out of 5.

Moisturizing
The full name of the product is Dial Yogurt Vanilla Honey Nourishing body wash. The bottle claims "refreshes thirsty skin." The website says "Yogurt protein is a natural skin conditioner. When you use new Yogurt Nourishing Hand Wash and Body Wash from Dial, you're doing more than cleaning your skin. You're infusing it with moisture ..."

When I used this body wash, I felt the moisture. As I poured the body wash on to my loofah it even looked liked lotion. It felt like lotion as I put it on but that feeling washed off quickly. As I left the shower I did not feel more moisture than if I had used another body wash. For moisturizing, the Dial Yogurt Vanilla Honey body wash gets 3 out of 5.

Cleanliness
The Dial website claims "The moisturizing power these clean-rinsing formulas is clinically proven." Dial Yogurt Vanilla Honey body wash is NOT clean rinsing. I applied the smooth wash to my body, rinsed off, and got out of the shower where I realized I had clumps from the wash still on my body. This happened again and again. Even though Dial Yogurt body wash goes on smooth, it leaves a residue. Having a body wash that actually cleans is the most important feature in a body wash. The Dial Yogurt Vanilla Honey body wash does not leave you feeling clean. Unfortunately the body wash gets a 1 out of 5 on cleanliness.

Overall
Dial Yogurt Honey Vanilla Honey body wash is fairly priced and has an excellent scent. The body wash is moderately moisturizing but does not rinse clean. Overall, I give the Dial Yogurt Vanilla Honey body wash 2 out of 5.

This dial bath wash has to be the best I've ever used! :) Washed off fine for me.

Great review! I love honest reviews. LOL Irene. I thought it sounded yummy, too - except the soap part. LOL :-)

Fantastic review. I was going to check this out, but now I won't even bother. I have liked Dial products for years, it's too bad this body wash is at the bottom of their barrell.

I hate that feeling from products that don't rinse off well. That would outweigh any positive benefit for me too.

That's too bad about not rinsing. I really would love the smell, I can tell from here.
