Product Review - Diet Pepsi Max

Invigorating Cola

I am always on the look out for a new diet soda. Especially one with health benefits added to it. I had begun drinking Diet Coke Plus shortly after its product launch, but recently I discovered Diet Pepsi Max, which was a pure delight considering I have always been a Pepsi girl. I myself am diabetic and I have kidney disease. So the drinks I consume become important and I really have to be careful. Finding satisfying soda products with little or no sugar and sodium are always exciting for me. I do however wish they would be more supportive of those in my position and offer more caffeine free varieties. Millions of Americans have diabetes and that number rises everyday. Is it really so hard to make adjustments when these numbers are soaring?

Packaging: The classic Pepsi logo and blue color, toned down to be taken more seriously. Id you did not take the time to stop and read the package, you would almost think it was a regular Pepsi.

Pricing: At about $3.88 for a 12 pack of 12oz cans, these are priced right alongside their competition. At only $0.33 per can, it makes sense to buy a 12 pack versus a single can or bottle. It makes sense in the long run to buy the twelve pack and just throw a couple in the fridge to carry with you wherever you go.

Nutrition: Dieters looking for the full flavor of a regular Pepsi rejoice. This product boasts zero calories, zero sugar, and very low sodium without tasting like a diet drink at all. The only factor here that I was rather put-off by was the presence of caffeine without offering an alternative. It even contains ginseng extract to keep you energy levels up and running. In this case, being a health minded drink has had no bearing on the full flavor of this soda.

Taste: From the first sip, it was impossible to tell that this was a diet soda. It had all the kick and sweetness of any regular soda. This was an extremely refreshing beverage that really curbed my thirst. I even feel obligated to mention the slightly addictive nature of this drink. Once I started drinking them, i could not stop and when I ran out, i could not wait to get to the store to buy more.

Overall: With the exception of containing caffeine, I would recommend Diet Pepsi Max to anyone based on the flavor, the moderate cost effective price, and nutrition factors.
