Product Review: DoCoMo Wrist Cellphone

Japanese company DoCoMo is planning to release a new cellphone that will target children. DoCoMo's new kid-targeted cellphone is known as the F801i. The phone will come equipped with many safety features and a keyboard that is designed for a child's small fingers. Another feature that the cell phone is going to come with is known as the "amulet." This is going to be both a remote control and lost phone locator that a child can wear around their wrists. Here is a quick product review of the new phone and what testers have thought of it.

The F801i has been released amongst a lot of positive reviews. It appears that a lot of product testers are excited about the alarm clock function of the phone. The alarm will deliver a ear-piercing 100-decibel scream when the alarm goes off. You will also notice that LED lights flash during the entire process. Another thing that is great for the children is that the cell allows you to store up to three pre-programmed emergency numbers. These numbers can be programmed in by the parent and security locked so that the child can not change them. Believe it or not, there is even more to the phone.

There is one feature about the phone that is certain to make the cellphone even more appealing. You will be able to find out your child's location when they own this phone. Their location will be sent to you via a SMS to those who are registered users. Also, you will not have to worry about the phone if your child happens to be accident prone. The phone happens to be waterproof for up to 20 minutes of time. It can even withstand water being squirted at it for several minutes. There is even a location device that comes with the cellphone. Simply push a button that is located on your bracelet and find your phone in a matter of seconds. The one downside is that you have to be within ten meters of the phone for it to work.

Now, imagine if the parents owned a DoCoMo phone as well. If you child happens to lose their cell phone and can not find it, you will be alerted of the matter in under 5 minutes. This will allow you to know that the phone is missing and to check up on your child. I personally believe that cellphone technology like this is awesome. We live in a generation in which both accidents and lot of horrible things can happen. The new phone from DoCoMo allows you to have a product that can react to both of those situations. Announcements have been made that a product similar to this one should be reaching the United States very soon.
