I bought the Double Elite when I was pregnant with my third child. My daughter would turn 2 just a few weeks before the baby was born. I knew she was too young to be in the traditional Sit 'n Stand stroller that we owned but I also didn't want to spend the money on a traditional double stroller that she'd be done with in a year. This stroller did not disappoint. It was well used before my third child was born. For 5 months, my then-1-year-old and then-4-year-old used this stroller. As soon as the baby was born, it was back to the traditional double style with the infant carseat in the front seat. We've used this stroller constantly for 2 years now and I still can't find anything to complain about!
The stroller is a traditional double stroller with 2 reclining seats with harness seatbelts, sun shades, footrests, etc. The front seat has a tray with cupholder. The parent tray has 2 cupholders plus a small storage area with a lid. The basket underneath is very large and is very easy to get into from the sides or top. The stroller works with most infant carseats - they just snap into place. We have a Graco Snugseat and it fit perfectly. The stroller is lighter than other double strollers I looked at, it folds easily and is easy to take in and out of the back of my SUV.
What makes this double unique is that when the older child wants to stand, you can remove the backseat and transform it to the Sit 'n Stand style in literally less than 2 minutes. You can then stash the seat in the basket and convert it back to a normal reclining seat later in the day when your child gets tired. In the Sit 'n Stand style, the child can either stand to face forward or backward on the standing platform or sit facing backwards on the little bench seat.
The stroller is easy to steer and push, too. At times I've had all 3 kids on the stroller at once (not recommended!) with the toddler in the front seat and older 2 (now 3 and 6) standing on the platform. Even with all that weight, it wasn't hard to turn or push. The stroller is very durable. We've used ours extensively for 2 years and it's still in great condition.
