When choosing a hypo-allergenic dryer sheet in the past, I could only choose from the name brands at outrageous prices. When raising a large family, spending more than $4.00 per a box of dryer sheets every two weeks is not budget friendly. The Eco-Select dryer sheet is an inexpensive alternative that is great for the environment. But, as with all products there are Pros and Cons.
PROS
Effectiveness
The Eco-Select dryer sheet was totally effective at preventing static cling on all of my clothes and different fabrics. I softened the clothes just as well as any named brand dryer sheet.
Price
At less than $3.00 per 80-count box, not only was the Eco-Select dryer sheet cheaper than any other hypo-allergenic dryer sheet on the market, it was also cheaper than almost every regular dryer sheet as well (both name and store brand).
Earth-Friendly
The Eco-Select dryer sheet is 100% biodegradable. The sheets will totally dissolve into the earth leaving no residue within 21 days. They are made from 100% renewable resources and even the box is made with 100% recycled paper (35% of which is post consumer waste). The Eco-Select dryer sheet is perfectly earth-friendly for a "greener" tomorrow.
CONS
Scent
As with every hypo-allergenic dryer sheet, the Eco-Select dryer sheet has absolutely no scent. This leaves the clothes without that notable "just dried" scent. Even though this characteristic was the same with all hypo-allergenic dryer sheets, I still consider it a CON.
Packaging
In a retail market driven by looks and eye-catching appeal, the packaging for the Eco-Select dryer sheet leaves much to be desired. The no-frills package is consistent with eco-friendly products, but will not catch the eye of the consumer.
Through every test I tried, the Eco-Select Biodegradable dryer sheet worked just as well as any name brand dryer sheet. With a market flooded with "greener," earth-friendly alternatives, this biodegradable dryer sheet fits right in. With effectiveness and low-cost topping the list of PROS and only one small CON common to all hypo-allergenic dryer sheets, I stand by my rating of five out of five stars.

Post a CommentThese sheets are great and I like the fact that they are free of perfumes and dyes. I found that regular dryer sheets and detergents caused skin and sinus irritation for my family after awhile so I've switched to "freer" products. Other friends have eliminated using any dryer sheets because of dyes and perfumes but I'd rather promote a good product like Eco-Select Dryer Sheets. I also bought them at Wal-Mart and now find they no longer stock them.
Simple....They don't work at all. Garbage
I loved these sheets! They soften my towels without making me itch. I used to buy them at Wal-Mart, but now I cannot find them. Does anyone know where I can find them now?
I have been using these for two months now. While the concept is great, my clothes are always full of static. I even saw a spark when I pulled them out of the dryer last time. I would not buy them again.
These are the worst dryer sheets I have ever used. I think if I put a paper towel in the dryer it would be more effective.
They don't help with static at all; I've even tried to put 5 in at a time, and they still don't work. I love the idea of "biodegradeable" but if they're useless, what's the point?!
These things SUCK!!! They are not cling-free. They don't discharge static. They are hard to rip apart without ripping the sheets. They melt. I just got my clothes out of the dryer and got shocked by everything I touched. I thought maybe this was happening because of the cold weather but it's not cold today and it's still happening.
Terrible product. The dryer sheet stuck to my exhaust in my dryer like glue! Then burned up the heating element.Thank goodness it was repairable.
I love these and they don't make me itchy like other dryer sheets. I couldn't believe how cheap they were either. It's a good day for me when a "green" product is also the cheaper one.
i also tried these dryer sheets, which i found in walmart. they have a lavender scent (essential oil). which is nice because it doesn't leave a chemical perfume and it's only slightly noticable on his work clothes. i absolutly love them!!
