Product Review: Elmo's Tickle Hands by Fisher Price
Dance, Sing and Giggle with Everyone's Favorite, Elmo!
Unlike the Elmo predecessors, Elmo's Tickle Hands do not feature a full size version of an Elmo doll dancing, singing and giggling. Instead, you will get two red, fuzzy hands with Elmo's face on the front. Also included is Elmo's latest DVD video featuring a new song called the Tickle Hand Groove. The hands require two AA batteries and a DVD player to view the video.
As promised, your child will be dancing around with their Elmo gloves on in no time. These red gloves easily fit onto any child's hands (and most adults). They are comfortable and feature Elmo's face on the front. Just push Elmo's nose on the Tickle Hands to get him talking and giggling along with your child. Elmo's trademark voice and giggle are sure to delight young children everywhere.
For additional fun, turn on the DVD and watch Elmo's Tickle Hand Groove video with your child. This sweet, catchy tune will have everyone singing and dancing along to the beat. All of the children in the video are wearing the Elmo's Tickle Hands, so your child will love wearing them while watching too. I love that the Elmo's Tickle Hands are interactive and get children out of their seats and dancing to music. Kids are spending more and more time watching television and playing video games, so it's refreshing to see how Fisher Price is using technology to encourage physical activity.
While I like this product, Elmo's Tickle Hands do have one interesting glitch. Only one of the Elmo gloves talks, sings or giggles. The other is just a plain red hand. Most children will tire of wearing a red glove that does nothing. For the price, I expected to get two working gloves even if one just did the giggle vibrations. In any case, this should not discourage you from purchasing this fun product. We give the Elmo's Tickle Hands a resounding thumbs up.
The retail price on the Elmo's Tickle Hands is approximately $24.99. It is recommended for children ages 18 months to 4 years old. As with other Christmas seasons, this toy is likely to be very hard to find so don't delay in picking yours up soon.
