The product comes with a 48-ounce blender and a 2-cup food processor. I wish the food processor were larger, but as long as you are not cooking for a lot of people it is sufficient. The blender is average in size and can make up to four 12 ounce drinks.
The power pod has a 400-watt motor which has proven strong enough to crush everything I need it do. I even put full-sized ice cubes in mine and have not had a problem yet. In contrast to many other blenders and food processors, there are four blades in each of these rather than two. This is a helpful feature because it blends evenly and you don't find yourself needing to stick a spoon in there to stir things up half way through.
Another feature I like is that there are nonslip bases on both. My old blender used to move around the counter and make a lot of noise while it was on. These do not do that.
The removable parts are all dishwasher safe so they are easy to clean up without having to stick your fingers near the sharp blades. There are also storage lids for the bowl and pitcher so you can use them as containers without having to dirty another dish.
Before buying this product, I used to chop everything by hand but now I see how much faster cooking can be with a food processor. I am more likely to try recipes that I would have considered to be too much work before.
When you use the Ninja Pod, use it in short bursts instead of leaving it on like a traditional blender. This will help it to last longer. This is fine for the food processor, but feels like it takes forever when you are blending ice cubes to make a smoothie.
