The Lil Quad Power Wheels came unassembled but was easy to put together. My husband had it assembled in ten minutes without difficulty. We put the Lil Quad Power Wheels together after our son was in bed for the night because the battery needed to be charged for 18 hours before it could be used. We did not want him to see his new toy and have to tell him he would not be able to use it yet. I would recommend that parents who purchase this for their child do the same as toddlers tend to be impatient little people.
After charging the battery we put it in its appropriate spot under the seat. The battery is very easy to install. We then let our toddler climb onto the vehicle. In order to make the Lil Quad Power Wheels move a toddler only has to press a button on the handle bar. We only had to show our son once how to press the button and he was off and on his way. The vehicle moves about two miles per hour and our son's face lit up with an enormous smile the moment he began to drive through the living room. The Lil Quad Power Wheels was able to move across the living room rug easily. This was helpful because it was too cold to take the vehicle outside and will be used indoors until spring. Our son has yet to manage the art of steering the vehicle, but luckily he thinks it is funny when he crashes into things. The vehicle is light enough for him to get out and turn it around himself. The speed of the vehicle is not very fast so it does not hurt a toddler when he bumps into something. Our son has had a great deal of fun and laughter using the Lil Quad Power Wheels.
One battery charge for the vehicle has a relatively long life. We have used the Lil Quad Power Wheels several times since installing the battery and just recently had to recharge it. I estimate the battery has about 1-2 hours of driving time available. The battery has to be charged for twelve hours after being used.
I would recommend th Lil Quad Power Wheels to parents with toddlers. It is safe, fun, and easily operated by a young child. It's green color and fun sticker decals also make it appealing to the eyes.
